As the Promotional Marketing Coordinator, your key responsibilities include providing organizational and administrative support to the Promotional Marketing team. Located in our SF headquarters, this role provides an excellent opportunity to be involved in one of the most significant and fastest-growing segments of Benefit’s business.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Promotional Marketing, the Coordinator has a direct hand in helping to create a robust global promotional offering. This role will utilize competitive insight as well as brainstorming ideas to assist in creation of assortments across the primary Promotional Marketing programs (Minis, Sampling, Promo Sets, Holiday & Travel Retail). This position will collaborate closely with Innovation, Copy, Art and Packaging depts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creative Marketing:
• Contribute to cross-functional brainstorm meetings with new product, assortment and/or packaging ideas
• Conduct ongoing competitive research (in-store and online) – identifying industry trends and using insight from findings to provide trend, assortment and pricing recommendations
Critical Path Process:
• Maintain updated library of decks, reference documents, etc. for all Promo programs (Minis, Sampling, Promo Sets, Holiday & Travel Retail)
• Assist in preparation and transfer of product briefs and marketing forms
• Prepare project bins for meetings
• Update meeting agenda and notes for bi-weekly cross-functional meetings
• Provide general administrative support for Promo team (assist in preparation for meetings including preparing agendas, printing copies, writing recaps, etc.)
Promo Boards & Promo Comps:
• Collaborate with Copy team on timely creation of product boards – inputting SRP, value, savings, ship dates, etc.
• Compile Promo product boards and decks as needed for meetings and product presentations
• Partner with Innovation team to set up for major conferences and retailer meetings
• Assist in managing and tracking comps in preparation for conferences
Strategic Analysis:
• Support monthly sales update process by generating NPD/internal reports and preparing ratings/reviews; collaborate with Senior Manager on summarizing key insights
• Perform accurate value and savings calculations
• Maintain updated database of competitive launches and pricing data
Other:
• Complete all other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years work experience in an office environment
• BA degree preferred
• Strong skills in anticipating needs and demonstrating a proactive approach to job responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) with all levels
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible personality to take on new challenges as they come and to switch gears immediately when necessary
• A sense of humor and enthusiasm, even in the midst of juggling multiple projects
• Professional and stylish demeanor in all forms of interpersonal communications
• Passion for makeup/product
