The Associate Director, Global Web Operations will drive the evolution of the Benefit websites and owned digital properties to create the best possible customer experience. This role will oversee Product Management and Content & Merchandising Operations – and work closely with our Development team on flawless and timely execution of roadmap priorities.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong “left brain”/ “right brain” balance – an idea person who is passionate about building great digital experiences, but also someone who can roll out global initiatives efficiently and effectively. We want someone who is always pushing our team to make our sites better, and thinking about how we can work smarter. This role will need to be comfortable working with and using data to make decisions, as well as be a strong collaborator with many cross-functional partners to drive results.
Essential Duties and Requirements:
Content & Site Merchandising
• Own Benefit’s global content calendar strategy that brings the Benefit brand, voice, and products to life across our websites and drives brand engagement.
• Partner with the Creative team to drive content evolution by synthesizing site testing results, monthly reporting of key metrics, competitive landscape, as well as customer feedback.
• Continually refine our site operations process to make more efficient.
• Be the advocate for the customer to ensure product information is helpful and relevant.
• Be the champion of SEO across our sites, participate in a regular review and audit of search keywords, and initiate site updates to improve search results and increase website SEO ranking.
• Manage the Associate Web Producer to execute the content calendar and support market activities.
Product Management
• Oversee and mentor our Product Manager to develop and execute our digital roadmap, and ensure alignment with business priorities and KPIs.
• Collaborate with global and local cross-functional partners, and outside vendors on ideation and execution of roadmap items.
• Monitor advancements in ecommerce and digital space, as well as competitive landscape, for opportunities and new ideas to improve our customer’s digital experience.
• Partner closely with Analytics on A/B testing, pre/post analyses, and site satisfaction measures to drive roadmap priorities.
Project Management
• Champion customer and stakeholder needs throughout program execution, ensuring that what is delivered meets the stated goals and objectives.
• Work closely with Development and QA to improve process for output, defining timelines, quality metrics, and accountability.
• Management of larger roadmap projects and/or vendors.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years previous experience in managing website or digital properties.
• Proven track record of getting things done and done well as demonstrated by products you have built or projects you’ve successfully spearheaded.
• Strong analytical skills - ability to draw conclusions from data and sales reports.
• Intuitive grasp of customer and a drive to reach and satisfy customers.
• Experience working with web content tools and/or development teams, and global teams.
• Content and SEO experience is highly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well across the organization and with 3rd parties.
