Job Description
POSITION TITLE: E-Commerce SEO Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
The E-Commerce Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager is responsible for advocating for SEO throughout the organization, working cross functionally to increase organic traffic by monitoring and improving our search rankings, overseeing the development of technical SEO implementations and building a strong backlink profile. The chosen candidate will be obsessed with SEO, make high-impact, data-driven decisions and possess a deep understanding of technical SEO and industry best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Research, strategize, plan and execute on organic search improvements across GUESS? web properties. Own the roadmap for on-site and off-site SEO initiatives.
• Continually audit our sites, navigation, pages, content, crawl accessibility and internal and outbound links to ensure optimal performance (using SEO software solution).
• Monitor, maintain and grow quality inbound links, collaborating with our content teams to create SEO friendly content.
• Identify new SEO growth opportunities via content gap analysis, keyword opportunities, competitive audits, site infrastructure / product improvements and ongoing analysis.
• Create technical guidelines for designers and developers to help optimize for SEO including URL structure, canonicals, page speed, information architecture, internal linking guides, markup, etc. Drive internal training and education on SEO strategy for key stakeholders.
• Develop SEO reporting and regularly track our SEO growth and opportunities through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other operational metrics and learnings.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years
