Overview
Put your love of basketball and marketing knowledge to work as a Category Marketing Coordinator for the basketball category at Eastbay - a leading world supplier of athletic footwear and apparel.
This position combines brand storytelling with merchandising basketball footwear and apparel to ensure divisional sales and profit objectives are met. The position requires excellent ability to be organized, be detailed and flexible while working in a fast paced team environment.
Responsibilities
Other duties of the Category Marketing Coordinator position include:
• Working closely with business units to become familiar with products and the consumer in order to develop appropriate methods for communicating to the target.
• Reviewing market research and internal reports to keep up to date on category sales and goals. Understanding the category demographics and staying current with marketing/merchandising trends.
• Consulting with vendor and the partnership teams to coordinate and implement proposals which meet brand strategy and align with the category marketing plans.
• Directing visual and verbal content of creative multi-channel materials.
• Directing category photo shoots to keep in line with brand strategy and category marketing plans.
• Creating and proofing accurate and intelligently merchandised multi-channel marketing materials (ex: catalog, web pages, ads, emails) per brand standards and category marketing plans.
• Participating in the creation of the story board and shot list for category or athlete photo shoots.
• Communicating to the customer service teams as needed regarding upcoming promotional details, contests, product initiatives, etc. as related to their category.
Qualified Candidates will have:
• Knowledge and passion for our product
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task
• One to two years’ experience / background in retail or eCommerce
• A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• A strong artistic and conceptual thinking ability
• Ability to travel up to 10-15%
