External Job Description
The Marketing Specialist, Email is responsible for supporting the Director, Email and SMS and team in successfully planning, managing performance, and executing email. This individual is also responsible for analyzing and reporting on the performance of email marketing campaigns, including presenting key findings that can be used to develop future marketing initiatives.
Email planning, execution, reporting and strategy:
• Responsible for the development and execution of email campaigns.
• Responsible for ensuring all email content/assets/link tables are uploaded and available for campaign build.
• Collaborate with Email Coordinator and Manager on testing and proofing email campaigns, verifying links, validating counts and approving campaigns to deploy.
• Serves as a point of contact for the email Agency for campaign related needs.
• Responsible for maintaining campaign related information for internal partners and Agency.
• Work closely with email manager and other internal teams to collaborate on the email calendar development and creative content.
• Works cross-functionally and acts as a gatekeeper for all promotional changes to emails, ensuring that the appropriate change is communicated to execution team and partners.
• Continuously optimize email strategies to increase performance including A/B and multivariate testing of subject lines, message content, images, offers, landing pages, mailing frequency, segments, and more. Works with execution team to ensure tests are executed properly. Evaluates results and provides recommendations.
Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a business related field.
Experience:
• 0 - 3 years’ experience in an agency or retail environment
• Familiarity with Email Service Platforms (ESP) a plus.
Skills:
• Strong analytical skills; able to utilize data and analytics to determine actionable recommendations.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams, external partners and agencies; exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. HTML and SQL knowledge a plus.
• Ability to learn technical systems and in-house tools quickly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment by leveraging strong multi-tasking, time management, and interpersonal skills
