Your Role
As the IT Director - Business Intelligence, you will have the responsibility of providing Business Intelligence leadership across the global organization. Together with business stakeholders, you will set a long-term, strategic vision for Fossil’s BI system landscape to enable key BI capabilities. As the BI Director, you will be setting direction for data structures and policies. You will work and facilitate discussions with peers in IT as well as in the business to understand future needs and requirements.
This role will require effective leadership of our Business Intelligence team, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
This position is based in our Richardson, TX office and reports to the VP - Enterprise Systems.

Required Skills and Experience:
• You are a degreed professional with at least 10 years of relevant IT experience
• You have successfully built strategic enterprise solutions for Business Intelligence and Reporting
• You have a passion for enabling business decisions through the use of big data
• You have managed teams of BI professionals and are considered a respected leader
• You have experience with SAP BI, Business Objects, Hadoop, and Analytics
• You have a continual curiosity for new technical solutions and capabilities
• You are able to translate business needs into technical solutions and present those ideas and concepts to executive leaders
• You have strong planning, forecasting and prioritization skills
• You have experience in managing on- and off-shore supplier/vendor relationships and large contracts
• You have strong negotiation skills
• You are resourceful and innovative
• You have completed a Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or relevant discipline
