Overview

The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Innovation provides leadership and analysis to explore, evaluate and test new innovations that can drive significant and positive change for the organization. As part of the Logistics team, he/she will enable innovation at URBN by delivering strong analytics around all supply chain capacities and planning, drive consistency and governance around storage and handling capabilities, and lead planning and development of supply chain requirements for growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Ensures high quality project management practices in line with URBN standard methodologies for launch of new fulfillment centers, integration of emerging network technologies, and other large capital projects on a global scale
• Provide thought leadership that stimulates strategic and innovative thinking throughout the organization
• Establish a regular dialogue with brand senior management and assume an active role in strategic planning in response to forecasts and initiatives.
• Perform global supply chain network design, planning, and development of long term supply chain requirements
• Lead the design and integration of global supply chain infrastructure and technology, as well as process enhancements to improve efficiency and service levels within the existing supply chain network
• Global continuous improvement program leadership: Development of lean/six sigma programs, teaching global leadership teams, and facilitating the program throughout the global network
• Prioritize and define development initiatives for supply chain software groups
• Develop fact based, data driven measurements of business performance in collaboration with business owners
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of supply chain management experience, or MBA with 5+ years of supply chain management experience
• Strong project management skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and reporting skills
• Excellent leadership, team building, communication and organizational skills
Job Skills
• Six sigma black belt/green belt is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
