Description
Coordinator, Lip, MAC PD
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Track competitive launches for entire Lip Category and track trends outside beauty industry (fashion/ music/ art), issue reports to team, pull inspiration and reports together for new Lip Innovation and formulas
• Issue bi-weekly sell through reports, highlighting notable findings
• Assist with pulling shade line-ups for programs
• Assist with pulling china line-ups for programs
• Maintain China line-up bins, update monthly in conjunction with new HP issuances
• Assist department with competitive shopping
• Attend trend presentations, trade shows, and outside vendor meetings to support the team in reviewing formula prototypes and track upcoming trends
• Review incoming product submissions with team to develop color eye and shade matching skills
• Help log, sticker and file incoming submissions, organize and maintain orderly project bins
• Maintain program archives, breaking down bins and archiving launched programs on on-going basis
• Pull relevant products and shade line-ups for meeting requests (Calendar meetings, regional meetings, TTT) , organize and send Marketing’s sets
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors and in-house lab to request formula/product pieces needed to ensure all collections are complete.
• Pull and distribute all samples requested for photoshoots (Creative), Packaging, Marketing and Regional Teams sample requirements.
• Evaluate and organize Pilot, 1st Production and Finished goods.
• Ensure distribution of all communications and/or materials, understanding and observing degree of confidentiality.
• Maintains contacts, filing systems and correspondence.
• Manage and prepare expense reports; review direct report T&E for signature.
• Order office supplies as needed for the Department.
• Coordinate staff and Team meetings, phone and video conferences when needed.
• Research projects as assigned and conduct follow-up.
• Organize all products needed for product viewing rooms at all global and regional meetings, including TTT. Communicate with vendors and in-house lab to request pieces needed to ensure all collections are complete.
• Create dynamic product concept briefs with buzz words and imagery to bring new formulas to life for Product Development, Editorial, Creative and Marketing.
• Track key trends, the competitive environment and participate in brainstorming meetings for new product concepts.
• Create a report distributed to team that covers blog reports, industry trends, and new and innovative product launches to bring awareness of changes and growth among other beauty brands and within MAC.
Qualifications
• Relevant experience; color background preferred
• Undergraduate College Degree preferred
• Strong skills in tactile/aesthetic evaluation of cosmetic products as well as the ability to communicate product understanding
• Ability to think creatively and brainstorm new ideas to stay ahead of the market curve
• Excellent organization, communication and follow-through skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Multi-functional, flexible, to handle ever changing priorities.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation-based communication skills.
• Job requires both domestic and foreign travel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Well versed in social media and social network activities and trends.
