Your Role
The Fossil Group Finance Team is currently searching for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Reporting to the Vice President – Global FP&A, the Director – FP&A is a key leader on the global finance team, responsible for driving the global budgeting and forecasting process. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Business Unit Leaders, Regional Finance Teams, and Corporate Finance and Accounting to develop short term and long term financial plans for the business. As owner of the global forecasting process, the Director is responsible for ensuring that strategic objectives and key operating initiatives are embedded in the financial plan. You will also work closely with the accounting and reporting teams as well as business leaders to analyze business results, assess business performance, and develop messaging of key plans and results to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and investment community.
Operating in a matrix environment, the Director will also provide timely analysis and insight that includes analysis of financial statements, KPI reporting, operational reporting, analysis of key business trends, and actual versus plan variances, including comprehensive explanations of differences. The Director will play a key role in evaluating business trends and modeling performance scenarios all while working with Executive Leadership to adapt both operational and financial plans to address changes in trends, ultimately positioning the business to meet its commitments.
Additional responsibilities include: manage, train, motivate and influence a group of junior analysts, capital budgeting, corporate expense management, long-range planning, M&A activity, strategic planning, earnings release preparation, ad hoc financial analyses, coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, implement and maintain other planning and controlling procedures, and analyze and report variances.
Your Skills
-Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
-CPA/MBA preferred
-10 + years of financial analysis and strategic business planning experience
-Experience in global, matrix organization a plus
-Investment banking, Big 4 accounting, or management consulting a plus
-Ability to effectively partner and influence senior level cross-functional teams
-Ability to drive alignment and trade-off decisions across the organization
-Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect teams
-Strong analytical/problem solving skills
-Ability to model analytics and work with business unit leaders to act on appropriate changes
-Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting
-Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, or similar type of financial software a plus
