Production and Product development coordinator
Overview
To support the production/PD for bags and leather apparel by providing administrative skills and entry level PD skills, completing assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner and giving the team assistance as required to create and execute product that represents the unique style of the free people customer. Accurate data entry of purchase orders, detailing product development packs to vendors and coordinating both sample trackers and T&A charts will be core to the role.
Responsibilities
• Follow up with vendor and internal teams to ensure development and production samples are executed correctly and within the timelines. Communicate changes or additional details as samples are reviewed.
• Working with team to communicate and trouble shoot development and production issues. Setting up and sketching styles for development (where required).
• Gather information relating to T&A and sample trackers for production and sample update meetings.
• Enter Purchase orders.
• Attend and participate in all PD meetings for FP collection direct, bringing tears and trend information.
• Keep sample database up to date and manage all development samples.
• Work with internal teams to ensure product is handed to the studio and web merch teams and wholesale photographic teams to meet deadlines.
• Research new materials and surface treatments around trend and new technology for projects and new concepts as required.
• Understanding points of measure, grading, construction methods and flat sketching.
• Developing an understanding of open costings and cost engineering to meet target margins.
