Manager, Visual Merchandising Open Sell, Tom Ford Beauty
Description
•Manage TOM FORD BEAUTY Global Open Sell programs in various formats including: Travel Retail, Specialty-Multi and Perfumeries.
•Create new and innovative merchandising design solutions for a luxury & prestige beauty landscape.
•Create and issue DTO’s required for vendor-required specifications with dimensioned drawings for manufacturing.
•Liaise with development team on execution of system with vendors through the review of engineering drawings, materials samples, production samples and final prototypes.
•Develop planograms, instruction sheets and visual merchandising guidelines for both site specific needs and system wide for Regional teams.
•Set up regular status reports and review of infield execution.
•Liaise with Product Marketing, Global Travel Retail, and Regional teams to maintain product assortments, updates and new launches .
•Coordinate with Store Design team for relevant site drawings and specifications needed for execution of designs.
Qualifications
•Position requires 5 or more years, preferably in the cosmetics or fashion, experience in visual merchandising, industrial design, retail/event design, graphic design, or related experience.
•BA or BFA preferred.
•Passionate about retail and in-store visual merchandising with a deep understanding of current Luxury Beauty/Fashion/Retail/Design trends.
•Remain self-motivated and proactive in identifying and translating trends in an ever-evolving industry and consumer marketplace.
•Ability to work well in a team environment, contribute ideas, and interact with other departments to obtain current information.
•Proficient creating presentation drawings and renderings of new designs and concepts for internal review.
•Proficient creating technical drawings and reviewing vendor engineering drawings.
•Proficient understanding of materials, manufacturing, and installation execution.
•Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and relevant 3-D rendering programs preferably Rhino and Keyshot. Model making abilities a plus.
•Ability to work well in a fast paced environment with remaining both detail oriented and deadline oriented.
•Excellent communication and relationship building.
•Flexibility and problem solving skills are essential.
