Retail Coordinator -Women's
Perry Ellis International is looking for a Retail Coordinator for our Women’s brands in department Stores. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and executing merchandising plans and priorities. Ensures fresh flow of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, execution and maintenance of all merchandising standards.
Responsibilities:
Merchandising/Store Presentation
• Merchandise Women’s Brands using current merchandising and visual directives.
• Partner with Visual Managers to ensure that all areas have the appropriate seasonal graphics.
• Ensure floor is filled in and maintained at all times.
• Make sure all markdowns are taken on schedule, signed and easy to shop. And that all POS’es are set appropriately.
• Review new merchandising strategies and ideas and make recommendations for shop enhancements to our retail partners.
Communication
• Maintain consistent dialogue with Dept Store management and Internal Sales Team regarding assortment issues, floor locations, and any stock opportunities and provide pictures on a regular basis.
• Partner with Retail Personnel to discuss open issues from store visits, productivity of staff, business opportunities, outpost opportunities, shop locations, or loss of real estate.
• Communicate with Internal sales teams regarding competitive feedback, best and slow sellers, size opportunities, and fit issues.
• Analyze assortment needs by demographic and communicate all findings to internal sales team.
Sales Strategies
• Develop business-driving strategies through sales contests and creative merchandising.
• Understand the competitive landscape.
• Ensure markdown schedules, staffing and floor space is competitive.
• Interact with customers and help sell our Women’s Brands.
Training and Development
• Conduct one-on-one and single/multiple store seminars on product knowledge, merchandising strategies, and selling skills training on a seasonal basis or as necessary.
• Review business plans, expectations and weekly/monthly numbers with appropriate store management/sales specialist.
• Communicate special events or contests in individual territory.
Requirements
• Bachelors degree.
• 3-5 previous Retail/Merchandise Coordinator or visual merchandising experience, apparel or department store experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and task manage appropriately.
• General Computer knowledge with proficiency in Windows applications or Google Drive
• Must have home Internet access, smartphone, and own transportation to travel to stores.
• Must be able to read and analyze business reports and purchase orders.
• Ability to multi-task and possess strong organization skills.
