JOB PURPOSE
Execute and maintain Burberry Visual Merchandising guidelines within assigned location in partnership with the store teams. Ensure that visual standards are maintained through an underlying commitment to always putting the brand first, being customer centric and driving productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand First – ‘Always do what’s best for the brand’.
In partnership with the store team, help coordinate and execute monthly corporate Visual Merchandising guidelines across assigned retail store.
Implement bi-monthly window displays, monthly window refreshes and in-store installations according to corporate standards and timelines.
Actively participate with store management team to make the best visual decisions for the store business while maintaining the corporate Visual standards.
Support with the set-up of BPC and Partner Events in store, or externally if required.
Customer Centric – ‘Put the customer at the center of everything we do’.
Ensure the store is presented in an elevated and luxury way by being detail orientated and understanding the client experience, through the windows, special installations, product placement, etc.
Understand the business needs of the store by working closely with the GM to ensure key investments are represented in a brand approved way.
Store windows should be checked regularly and be immaculate at all times. If window product is required by clients, these requests must be accommodated without disrupting the client journey.
Work in a neat and tidy way, ensuring there is little to no disruption of the shop floor during trading hours, by building a close partnership with the BOH teams so that product is back-stocked appropriately.
Productive and Responsible – Evolve actions, mind set & culture.
Partner with the Store Manager and other relevant team members to plan and implement floor moves.
Assist with placing late product deliveries, replacing sold out items on the shop floor and help remove or add items to mannequins.
Ensure all merchandise, mannequins and props are accounted and cared for appropriately, and any issues concerning lighting or fixtures is communicated promptly.
Support with photographic requests to the Corporate Visual team.
Famous for Product - Prioritize quality, innovation & provenance.
Regularly assess and assist in product merchandising of all categories for assigned retail store to ensure Burberry standards are maintained.
Be creative and put forward visual ideas and suggestions.
Participate in Visual Merchandising training sessions in partnership with the Visual Manager.
Instill accountability in the Store team to maintain visual standards throughout the day.
Understand specific regional nuances and suggest visual adaptions based on local clients.
PERSONAL PROFILE
Comprehensive understanding of Visual Merchandising (3-5 years visual merchandising experience preferably with a high-end luxury brand).
Experience in window installations, be able to use hand-and-power operated tools, climb a ladder, and have the ability to lift clothing, props, mannequins etc’.
Flexibility to work a Retail schedule including working late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays when required. May be required to travel to other stores.
Confident, with exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and problem-solve.
Strong attention to detail and the passion to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Creative suites.
