Overview
The Digital Merchandising Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting the management of HBI’s owned ecommerce product assortment. Primary duties include owning the product assortment life-cycle, category level pricing tool, and monitoring style level sales trends. This person will be expected have detailed understanding of the product assortment and work closely with merchandising managers to provide pricing recommendations. Additionally this candidate will be expected to proactively communicate marketing opportunities business owners.
This position requires a combination of quantitative skills, strategic thinking, cross-functional communication. The candidate must be able to analyze detailed, large scale data, and clearly communicate the insights. Team skills & the ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external groups are critical, as position requires frequent interaction with other functional groups, including business unit managers, merchandising, website and email managers, website operations, and inventory management team. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently. Strong people and project management skills are essential as well as attention to detail.
Responsibilities
• Partnering with analytics team to manage the product life-cycle tool including products across seasonal, slow/fast movers, and obsoletes categories.
• Utilize product life-cycle tool to analyze the ecommerce product assortment and recommend actions.
• Manage the style level pricing tool to analyze and execute price changes across key price sensitive categories.
• Responsible for style level product category reporting which includes identifying current positive or negative sales trends and collaborating with business owners to determine solution.
• Work collaboratively with analytics and inventory management team when necessary for input/output data needs.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills are a must as well as attention to detail and the ability to multi-task across rapidly changing business/consumer needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• BS/BA Degree required
• 2-4 years of experience required in merchandising or retail management, ecommerce retail experience is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills mandatory. Very comfortable managing, manipulating and analyzing large data sets
• Experience in presenting to leaders, working with cross functional teams to drive results
• High level of critical and analytical thinking
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience working as a data partner to marketing and business leads
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Action-oriented, positive attitude and full of energy for challenges
• Able to deal ambiguity and a changing environment
• Strategic thinking with strong business partnership skills
• Ability to drive and own work stream with strong sense of accountability and ownership
• Experience framing business questions into analysis plans and delivering recommendations
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented
