Responsible for ensuring execution and achievement of business performance objectives, by focusing on time, quality, deliveries at the right cost, with the required speed and flexibility in support of Fanatics Apparel strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the production and order management processes to ensure on time delivery, and meet profit and inventory objectives.
• Work with Demand and Merchandise Planning functions in the issuance of purchase orders in tandem with customer demand. Review needs on a weekly/monthly cadence.
• Liaison between Demand/Merchandise planning and internal/external manufacturers to ensure capacity and on time delivery.
• Support adherence to the production development calendar. Challenge and negotiate timing to support the business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teammates on key deliverables to mitigate risk and meet business goals.
• Monitor and track WIP and vendor score cards.
• Lead weekly production status update meetings with cross functional team.
• Interface with other areas of the business as needed to ensure proper support and coordination of production issues. Communicate production issues to Manager and recommend action to ensure our delivery, inventory and financial objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain strategic vendor partnerships that support the allocation process in an effort to minimize costs, maximize efficiencies and manage capacity.
• Negotiate with vendors to attain the best pricing and maintain quality levels.
• Work on special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelors degree, equivalent or a comparable combination of education and experience in a related field.
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience in production management and/or sourcing.
• Experience working with domestic and overseas vendors. Experience and knowledge of Screen Print is a plus.
• Proven communication and prioritization skills are a must.
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to implement new processes and best practices.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity.
• Ability to communicate across multiple cultural and experience levels, both internal & external.
• Familiar with industry standard quality processes/procedures and compliance regulations.
• Strong Computer skills in excel, word and necessary systems needed. Familiarity with V-lookups, H-lookups, and pivot tables required.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours and some weekends to support specific events and peak periods.
• Travel may be required.
