Summary:
Drive sales and manage all aspects of online activities related to the direct to consumer sites and initiatives. Develop ecommerce strategies; manage budgets and key performance indicators. Responsible for conveying a consistent brand image that attracts consumers by encouraging online sales and implements best practices in all areas of ecommerce. This includes promotions, email plan strategies, paid search, SEO, photoshoots, online merchandising and website development/UX. Web maintenance and troubleshooting are ongoing tasks. This role will work with marketing teams and 3rd party agencies to implement strategies and direct to consumer initiatives. Responsible for product orders for brand sites.
Job Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Marketing Strategy
• Drive online sales and improve the online consumer experience to achieve growth goals
• Identify and manage organizational changes needed to meet ecommerce goals
• Partner with marketing teams to implement a consistent brand image
• Maximize brand awareness through ecommerce sites and associated marketing tools
• Research and implement 3rd party partners to increase direct to consumer exposure
• Research, recommend and implement site functionality to increase conversion and revenue
• Implement SEO efforts provided by SEO tool/company to increase traffic and grow online presence
• Works with content developer and 3rd parties to test and implement changes to the sites
• Plans email strategy based on marketing calendar and seasonal goals
• Partners with email platform agency to ensure email quality and performance
• Share ongoing initiatives and product features with paid search teams to ensure coverage of all available terms
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis
Implementation & Administration
• Manage day to day site operations including relationship with ECP partner
• Work with consumer care and operations to provide an excellent consumer experience
• Prioritize and manage projects to their timeline, resources and budget
• Partner with IT to develop improved processes
• Manage partnerships with internal/external agencies to optimize website performance, consumer experience and drive online sales
Analysis
• Maintain analysis of all site metrics from various marketing channels with YOY comparisons to determine website effectiveness
• Evaluate online health and performance of all ecommerce initiatives including email, digital marketing events and 3rd party relationships
Required Skills:
Job Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ecommerce
• Extensive knowledge of ecommerce technology, analytics and best practices
• Ability to think strategically and creatively to drive organizational efficiency
• Effective communication skills through daily interactions with various departments
• Team player that is professional and dependable
• Leadership capabilities that cross multi-functional areas
• Ability to create and execute online marketing strategies to grow and retain consumers
• Ability to troubleshoot and execute plans efficiently
• A proven track record of managing digital projects and delivering results on time and within budget
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and work effectively within a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of all things ecommerce including but not limited to digital marketing, social media, mobile, affiliate programs, apps and online merchandising
• Strong computer skills, especially excel and other new tools to optimize time and communication
