Manager, Retail Marketing, Clinique
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support the retail marketing function of the organization, helping create value at retail through a variety of experiences and opportunities which will ultimately drive traffic and sales in a simply amazing way. The scope of responsibility will span all forms of Clinique retail:
•Clinique FSS (Free standing stores)
•Clinique at Department Stores
•SMC (Specialty Multi channel, i.e. Sephora)
•Travel Retail
This individual will report to the Director of Retail Marketing.
This role is a unique opportunity for junior talent to have exposure to many disciplines within the brand, including product marketing, store design, and visual merchandising, while building retail experience and working cross-regionally to form strong global relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail Experiences
•The X-Lab
-Support the Director of retail marketing in the creation of high value retail opportunities by managing X-Lab projects and ensuring all stakeholders meet project deadlines
-Keep track of experience briefs, project deadlines, and tracking KPIs
-Partner with consumer engagement on asset sharing (Opal) and in-store content
Retail Events
•With oversight of retail marketing director, partner with promotional marketing team to develop global flash events and special events to support retail sales
•Support Director of retail marketing in the leadership and management of social retail activations (approx.. 4 per season)
-Timelines and planning for seasons ahead
-Meeting management and project timelines for social retail activation ideation
-Partner with product marketing, communications, consumer engagement, and education to ensure all concepts are solidified in advance of meetings
•Be able to think outside the box and utilize strategic thinking, creativity, and innovation in the planning and building of captivating storytelling and experiences at counter through close collaboration with Director, global partners and cross-functional teams
•Create strong relationships with creative and project management teams, with responsibility for updating and submission of job starts and program dossiers
•Work closely with Global Education to ensure proper Consultant training and flawless execution in-store
•Responsible for global recaps of all programs
Competitive Analysis
•Support Director to track, document and analyze competitive activity including:
-Evaluating current promotional performance among key competitors as a means to develop programs in line with market and consumer trends
-Analyzing competitive retail eventing and marketing activity through close communication with Regional Marketing teams
-Organizing in-store visits to evaluate competition, retailer execution and in-store messaging (North America; additional TBC)
Qualifications
•College/University degree
•4+ years marketing experience
•Experience in retail or with a retail-focused company
•Strong creative skills and possess a proactive attitude and ability to approach ambiguity
•Self-motivated and determined with excellent organizational and follow up skills
•Must be highly detail oriented with un-prompted follow-through
•Must be a team player that is able to foster relationships with cross-functional team members
