Purpose
The Brand Designer’s primary role is to create and assemble printed and digital marketing collateral. Assignments include, but not limited to, creating: printed/digital advertising/marketing materials, sales tool materials, sales rep support materials, digital imagery photo editing, photo & video shoot assistance and other preparatory duties relative to brand marketing needs.
This position works out of the adidas Carlsbad facility and reports to the Senior Brand Designer. This role must be adaptive to expanding product offerings and must also possess the ability to create working solutions and proposals to various consumer touchpoints. This role requires strong conceptual, layout design, print, digital, design flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Consults with the Senior Brand Designer and/or Project Manager regarding project needs, audience goals, project deadlines, budgetary limitations and image concept to be conveyed.
• Designs and develops art and copy layouts for sales consisting of printed and electronic media while adhering to the visual language of adidas as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines according to legal guidance.
• Verbally presents graphic ideas and details with clarity in small groups, x-functional teams and team meetings
• Prepare illustrative, photographic, and graphic concepts of materials according to instructions provided or by taking initiative

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems to provide camera-ready art and/or digitally formatted graphics for specific assignments
• Must have an in-depth understanding of Adobe creative suite and have experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and fluent with Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational and presentation skills.
• Must possess strong typographic and composition skills.
• Able to respond quickly to multiple projects with strong time management skills.
• Able to conceptualize and direct projects from concept to completion in a variety of mediums and formats; identity, print, marketing, packaging, digital, web, etc…
• Working knowledge of modern office methods and practices. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, write business correspondence, and able to communicate effectively via e-mail and phone systems.
Minimum Qualifications
1. BA in Graphic design or comparable education, graphic arts and/or visual communications
2. 5 years minimal creative experience in design and brand marketing.
