Sr. Director Finance (Workforce Management)

GENERAL FUNCTION
To support the business and indirectly impact sales of the Brand, this position drives the strategic development, delivery and evaluation of Workforce Management methodologies necessary to maintain approved performance standards including assignment of staff as needed throughout the workday. Workforce Management activities are performed to maximize efficiency while delivering amazing customer experiences. Provides thought leadership to implement a long-term site-based or centralized workforce department, ensuring resources are aligned to meet business needs. Partners with key executives and field leadership to drive performance and support business objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides strategic, innovative leadership in the design, implementation and continuous improvement in the areas of workforce planning.
• Responsible for alignment with brand strategic initiatives and facilitates the preparation of short- and long-term plans in support of the brand mission and vision.
• Direct, plan, control, and coordinate the workforce activities for the LensCrafters Labor Team responsible for forecasting, labor planning and scheduling.
• Responsible for all Workforce operations and budget supporting LensCrafters stores.
• Lead and champion the process of creating/selecting the Workforce management methodologies and systems to meet business objectives.
• Partner with HR and Operations teams to drive workforce improvement initiatives, predict resource trends ensuring consistent customer experience ensure KPIs are met.
• Oversee the development of processes related to forecasting/staffing and capacity analysis within Company policies and guidelines.
• Manage outside vendor relationships; including the negotiation of contracts.
• Responsible for the development and delivery of Kronos
• Oversee the development of key Forecast and Labor metrics; ensure accurate and meaningful data is reported to leadership on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Direct the labor team on the extraction of meaningful data and presenting the information in a manner that provides the opportunity for both pro-active and re-active response.
• Use data and key performance indicators to identify trends and recommend action plans as necessary
• Serve as PMO for Labor Team to ensure projects are managed with discipline ensuring execution of Brand Labor strategy.
• Support budget management, planning and expenditure control for Human Capital Data & Strategy budget.
• Utilize current workforce industry trends to evaluate viability of new and existing programs and determine best practices and benchmarks.
• Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the LensCrafters Labor Team
• Responsible for effectively leading the team in a professional manner while upholding the company culture. This includes providing training, skill development opportunities and regular feedback.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 12+ years’ experience in labor, finance/technology roles including systems analysis, software development, implementation and technical project management
• 5+ years leading large scale projects
• Experience with other workforce management solutions including payroll, equity and time
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business Administration or related discipline
• Experience in Kronos WFM software or retail service industry
