Responsibilities
Primary Purpose:The role will play a key role on the on purpose team at Kate Spade New York. The social enterprise division is highly cross functional and working across geographies to manufacture and deliver high quality, competitive handbags made at the on purpose supplier in Masoro, Rwanda. The role embodies a need for a true entrepreneur functioning in a larger fashion brand and playing a key role in aligning business partners and processes to empower women to transform communities.

on purpose Production
• Manage on purpose production cycle from Raw Material Shipping to Delivery of Finished Goods to corporate warehouses
• Ensure highest QA/QC (quality assurance & quality control) in production at on purpose suppliers
• Manage on purpose production consultant partners
• Support and Partner with on purpose Senior Manager to set seasonal line arch, specifically provide historical selling and seasonal learnings from True Ups.
• Execute seasonal product strategy with design, merch and buying partners.
• Guide unit allocation with buyers to support seasonal line arch strategy
• Partner with Merchandising and PR to present seasonal CSR collection & category presentation (internal market) and internal fashion show
• Manage seasonal warehouse breakdown file and send to on purpose supplier and KSC Procurement Specialist
• Manage seasonal true up meeting with on purpose team and collecting and archiving all supporting documentation
• Manage the on purpose selling data. Develop and share key insights on historical selling with on purpose team, design, merch and buying partners.
• Own & enter job specific assigned data into Power BI
on purpose Trade, Logistics and Infrastructure Compliance
• Manage on purpose supplier Compliance Program
• Ensure on purpose suppliers are compliant in social, infrastructure & trade programs
• Main point of contact with KSC corporate compliance team
• Main POC for on purpose factory and corporate compliance team. Ensure requested from both partiers is delivered on time.
• Develop training programs for on purpose suppliers, as necessary, in partnership with corporate compliance teams
on purpose Logistics: Raw Material Imports and Finished Goods Exports
• Manage the movement of all on purpose Raw Materials and machines for production in partnership with Logistics Teams
• Manage the movement of all on purpose Finished Goods from on purpose supplier to Warehouses in partnership with Logistics Teams
• Mange the allocation of all on purpose products to store and ecom in partnership with Allocations and Warehouse Teams
• Manage the Communication to all internal partners regarding arrival of on purpose deliveries. Specifically to Ecom, Allocations, Logistics, Warehouse, Marketing and Visual Teams.
Qualifications
The accomplished individual will possess...
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years “technical expertise” in Handbag &/or Apparel manufacturing
• 4+ years product development, merchandising, buying, production & management leadership experience.
• Experience in networking and building relationships cross functionally and across different strata of society
• Successful at building trust & inspiring others
• High level of maturity, integrity & cultural sensitivity
• Understanding of gender issues within marginalized communities
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required
• Strong interpersonal, cross cultural & communication skills
• Ability to establish a learning culture at supplier. Excellent skills in training.
• Experience with performance management
• Strong computer skills both MS Word, Microsoft Excel & Power Point
• Experience in designing, managing and implementing programs in complex rural environments a plus
• Excellent skills in written and spoken English
