You will be expected to advance AEO’s industry leading supply chain by setting a strong strategy and vision in support of and influencing key aspects of AEO’s corporate strategy. In addition, you will inspire your team and lead efforts to deliver sound operating results; exceeding customer expectations, optimizing spend, delivering innovation, fostering community engagement, creating sustainable operations and developing a talented team.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Deliver shareholder value through the effective transportation, processing and delivery of AEO merchandise world-wide; responsible for total distribution center and delivery cost optimization.
• Lead the planning and execution of Global Supply Chain & Logistics solutions, in accordance with other business strategy planning, to meet AEO’s short and long term goals. This entails frequent interaction with C-suite/executive leadership.
• Foster collaborative relationships with other leaders and be a role model for the organization in way of thought leadership and contribution/alignment to the Company’s strategy and core values.
• Drive supply chain efficiency/effectiveness as well as solutions to meet ever changing customer service expectations; push innovative solutions for our Customers as well as in support of the overall business strategy.
• Responsibility for fostering and ensuring supply chain sustainability within AEO and across our business/franchise partners.
• Integration of process/strategy with various cross functional partners across the Company, including but not limited to Production & Sourcing, Digital Commerce, Digital Technology/IT, Store Operations, International & other internal support teams (Legal/Finance/HR, etc.).
• Discuss, coach and lead teams through a wide array of topics including business strategy to the tactical execution of the strategy; provide expertise on complex topics, leaning on past experience and know-how to guide others to meet or exceed goals.
• Build cross-functional partnerships, leverage insights from various areas of the business to inform planning, processes and grow capability for the Global Supply Chain & Logistics function.
• Interact with external vendors for the delivery/development of new Supply Chain technology, and/or as a point of resolution on current integrations and platforms.
• Support the growth of AEO’s digital business by working with teams to foster innovative solutions for attracting and retaining talent at all levels of the organization, including the exploration of new technology and automation.
• Influence and support our brand identity within the areas that we work and play; lead/support efforts around AEO’s employment proposition and serve as a leader for community engagement topics.
• Champion the development of associates, ensure robust succession plans are developed and in place at all levels of the function.
• Support and foster positive labor relations; play a role in labor meetings/negotiations, if/where required.
• Lead the Global Supply Chain & Logistics function to:
◦ Minimize company risk and maintain compliance in areas of trade and regulatory, vendor compliance, and product safety.
◦ Effectively and cost efficiently moving product to all Stores (intl. & domestic) and to over 81 e-commerce destinations.
◦ Process goods through efficient OMNI-channel distribution and robust workforce planning; manage/track all skus to ensure proper accounting of AEO inventory, etc.
◦ Deliver Supply Chain data management and planning to ensure smooth coordination across systems/teams; leverage analytics for data-driven decision making, where appropriate.
◦ Manage up to $0.5B in spend annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain field. MBA preferred. Minimum of 15+ years of experience within Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics with progressive scope of responsibility, application on a global scale preferred; experience working with a large, global Stores organization; experience serving as, or potentially working with, Executives for commercial, inventory/merchandise planning, technology and .com; strong understanding of warehouse management/order fulfillment systems, and transportation management methods; experience with data-driven analytics, metrics, KPIs to measure and drive results; demonstrated experience leading a diverse, high-performing team which includes fostering “ready now” talent as future successors for key roles; experience effectively managing large budgets including capital expenditure and growth projects/initiatives; ability to travel, including international.
