What This Position Is All About:
We are looking for an industrious, dynamic and high-energy Director of Product Delivery and PMO to lead the day-to-day operations for a team of Program Managers. This highly-visible leadership role will use their experience in agile principles and methodologies to help drive the planning and delivery of our product and technology roadmap across the multiple sites we support including Saks Fifth Avenue, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Lord & Taylor, Gilt, and Hudson’s Bay.

You Also Have:
● At least 10 years of experience leading Product Delivery or a PMO within a technology organization. PMP certification, Product Owner and Scrum Master certifications a plus.
● Strong people manager with a history of building great teams of at least 10 direct reports.
● Solid understanding of different software development lifecycle models and expert knowledge in agile and traditional principles, with the ability to blend processes to find the right fit for technology and our business.
● Sufficient technical background to quickly earn the respect of our engineering team, with bonus points for coming from an engineering background.
● Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, public speaking expertise with experience presenting at meetups and conferences.
As the Director Of Product Delivery, You Will:
● Drive the process transformation across multiple departments of a large scale technology organization to become a collaborative, people-focused and KPI-driven Agile organization.
● Work cross-departmentally with partners in Finance and Corporate IT to align on process improvements, including capital accounting procedures and cross-department roadmap alignment.
● Support our Product Management team in the development of the business cases for our product initiatives, driving the capacity resource planning and financial analysis and working across department for necessary approvals.
● Train, coach and mentor the Program Managers and Agile Coaches to be facilitators and agile change agents for their own teams and projects, with a strong focus on team dynamics and engagement.
● Communicate the benefits of our agile principles, including the importance of autonomy, mastery of one’s craft, and providing a sense of purpose to the benefit of both individuals and the company as a whole. Gain buy-in and inspire others to become adopters of our philosophy.
● Facilitate the development of the team to be true servant-leaders and lead recruiting of additional staff to support our growth.
● Support the team’s efforts to identify, communicate, and resolve interdependencies, risks, and issues. Help teams manage and resolve conflicts.
● Maintain effective communication with senior management to keep them aware of critical issues confronting product delivery and of the action plans for addressing those issues.
● Critical thinking: You must be able to ensure that the products we release will positively impact our KPIs and not be afraid to be a voice of reason and authority when a product is not ready in the face of external pressure to hit a specific timeframe.
● Enthusiastic: You’ll need an optimistic, charismatic and outgoing personality in order to lead by influencing others and you’ll be a key part of making our workplace fun and energetic.
● Motivational: You’ll need the ability to motivate others by demonstrating a clear purpose for the team and how their work fits into the company’s strategy, while facilitating a sense of autonomy and creating an environment where people can continue to master their craft through professional development. You must be willing to hold teams accountable to our vision and values.
● Adaptable: You’ll have the ability to dynamically adapt to shifts in priorities and projects, resolving contention and solving problems across technology and our business partners.
● Transparent: Your management style must be honest, transparent and authentic and you need the ability to build relationships and trust quickly.
