Overview
The Team Lead will be responsible for real time analysis, assisting the coordination and balance of the inbound operation, and assists in the balancing of labor for all areas. Furthermore assigns inbound tasks for all production employees. Supports the inbound departments to ensure all tasks flow smoothly for the production crew. Supports management to ensure all end of day (EOD) tasks are completed. Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends.
Responsibilities
• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers.
• Responsible for coordinating, tracking and reporting labor, attendance, work distribution and break periods.
• Assigning staff and managing the distribution of work among associates.
• Assisting the team as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP, policies and procedures compliance.
• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking and reporting feedback of associate’s individual performance, utilizing step metrics and EFR’s.
• Providing support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner.
• Conducting audits to verify accuracy of inbound product.
• Preparing and maintaining Google Docs
• Communicating with CX representatives using different communication platforms such as: Jira, Slack, and Emails, to rectify problems, such as, delayed shipping, missed deliveries, call tags etc.
• Initiating procurement process for materials and supplies to maintain inventory of showroom stock.
• Reviewing and updating SOP’s as required, having a full understanding of the workflow and daily production goals of the department.
• Supporting and maintaining a safe work environment by identifying and addressing safety hazards, participating in safety initiatives, coaching associates on safety protocols and assisting in keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives and other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
• If Candidate is a current employee, must be in good standing
• Ability to work extended hours as required
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including nights and some weekends
• Ability to continuously meet and exceed department performance goals
Preferred
Qualifications
• High School Diploma/GED with 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
• Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity
• Awareness and willingness to use OE tools and techniques, preferred
