Director, Global Cosmetics Marketing, Tom Ford Beauty
GLOBAL MARKETING STRATEGY
•Support Executive Director in development of Global Cosmetics Marketing objectives, strategies and 3-year innovation pipeline, considering strategic fit with brand
•Develop Face, Skincare, Men’s Grooming and Soleil categories strategy in collaboration with Product Development, Creative and Consumer Marketing (positioning, pricing, distribution, merchandising, launch support)
•Work hand in hand with cross functional partner groups to bring new programs to market, including but not limited to Global Business Supply Chain (GBSC), Global Business Planning (GBP), Product Development, Packaging, Design, Global Supply (GSR), Creative, Education, Consumer Marketing, PR
•Work in synergy with Consumer Marketing, Education and Public Relations teams to create awareness and engagement driving tactics for new launches and re-promote programs, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution
•Help identify new products concepts, technologies, market trends, product gaps and category/franchising opportunities with product development team
•Lead development and strategy of forecast offerings and bulletins detailing new program introduction and execution
•Ensure all timetables and cost objectives are met, including new products, seasonal programs and support collateral
•Work closely with Design to ensure flawless execution of saleable, collateral and merchandising
•Collaborate with Global Business Planning to develop and finalized marketing forecast estimates
•Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all GMW postings
•Responsible for COG analysis, pricing and SKU management for managed categories
•Support Executive Director in development of new product pricing recommendations, keeping in line with the brand’s product index for new and existing products
•Collaborate with Global Pricing Group to finalize pricing recommendation with Regional input and ensure consistency across all markets
•Liaise with Cost Accounting to accurately project and maintain COGs from target costs to final costs
•Spearhead project briefing to editorial and forecasting teams
•Spearhead and accountable for all aspects of PPD meetings, such as issuance of agenda, meeting recap and follow-ups
•Monitor TFB cosmetics product line-up vs. competition to identify product needs, gaps and opportunities.
•Analyze business, competition, trends and assist in developing well-defined marketing programs to pre-empt competition
•Prepare subcategory reviews, and perform ad hoc analysis upon request
•Manages Cosmetics Sampling Program including preparation and issuance of forecast offerings
INTERNATIONAL MARKETING/REGIONAL LIAISON
•Support Executive Director in implementation of International Marketing processes
•Serve as APAC Regional Liaison by ensuring close communication with Region and Global cross-functional teams, leading and recapping regional conference calls, fielding regional queries, and maintaining market information shared by the region
MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS
•Help prepare presentations for various Senior Management meetings, Innovation, Strategy, Global Meetings, Regional Roundtables, etc.
Qualifications
•8+ years of Global Marketing experience
•Strong analytical, organizational, project management and leadership skills
•Excellent written and oral communications, ability to personally set priorities and motivate others
•Knowledge of the functions of product development, packaging design, advertising, and sales
•Appreciation that Licensor (Tom Ford) is the brand voice/creator, ability to execute Licensor’s vision
•Ability to work on a small but growing business in lean, entrepreneurial environment
•Previous global and or applied marketing experience required
•Marketing experience within Prestige Cosmetics industry a plus
•Experience in luxury and or fashion a plus
•Experience with global marketing or international cultural exposure a plus
•Strong project management skills. Self-Starter, detail oriented, ability to multi-task and handle a broad range of projects.
•Possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic environment, and be highly flexible
•Must have excellent communication, analytical and computer skills
•Must be proficient in Excel, Word & PowerPoint and capable of learning additional corporate systems
