Director, Clinical
Description
The Clinique brand equity is built on products delivering superior clinical benefits. The Director, Clinical for Clinique, is responsible for the management and execution of all the clinical projects related to the Clinique brand.
Establishes successful partnerships with the various functions in R&D, Product Development and Legal to build superior and innovative clinical strategies and drive clinical initiatives to successful outcomes.
Develops protocols, assists in the execution of studies, reviews data and reports findings to partners.
Works closely with all the clinical sub-functions to execute testing.
Identifies new capabilities, methodologies, process to bring innovation and efficiencies. Coaches scientists on clinical assessments.
Management and execution of all the clinical projects related to the Clinique brand
Primary brand contact with Clinique for the Claims Department
Establishment of clinical strategies for each project
Set up testing plans, protocols for internal and external studies, submit protocols to IRB as required
Partners with R&D functions (Advanced Technologies, Formulation lab) to vet formula prior to testing
Contributor to claim brainstorming
In partnership with the clinical team, Clinical operations and panelist relations, establish and execute studies - establish cross-functional teams to rapidly and efficiently execute clinical studies.
As member of the brand innovation team, provide clinical expertise to investigate and experiment with novel technologies or claims.
Coach clinical scientists on testing practices and claim support.
Helps develop new clinical models.
Qualifications
BS/MS
8 years of experience
10-20% Travel
Extensive experience in claim support, clinical testing (at least 10 yrs) in the skin care category (at least 5 yrs). Demonstrated track record in claim substantiation. Hands-on knowledge in clinical bio-instrumentation, clinical grading, clinical imaging and image analyses. Proven experience in clinical method development. Highly effective organizational planning skills and project management of multiple projects/products is required. Experience in the direct interaction with Marketing and Legal functions.
