Overview
The Concept Design Assistant will assist the team in the creation, development, and execution of multiple concepts per season, as well as departmental administrative duties and special projects. The Assistant will participate in meetings with cross-functional partners across the Design categories to develop the concepts holistically – from a perspective on print and color direction, to key silhouettes and details. The Assistant will contribute to and build the accompanying mood boards and handouts for these concepts. The Assistant will be culturally and stylistically astute and literate, able to take initiative on research within and beyond the fashion industry and report findings back to the team.
Responsibilities
·Assist designers with inspiration and trend research: tears, media, relevant exhibits, etc.
·Build, maintain, and update design mood boards throughout the season
·Build and edit accompanying handouts and presentation materials
·Aid designers in special projects – examples include research into techniques, runway recaps, etc.
·Attend relevant benchmark meetings and take detailed notes for recaps
·Perform departmental administrative tasks as needed – this includes sample management, placing office supply orders, etc.
Qualifications
·Strong creative skills and understanding of Anthropologie brand aesthetic
·Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
·Sound and articulate communication skills
·Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite)
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
