Bonobos is seeking a Senior Director of Brand Marketing to oversee brand strategy and brand marketing for Bonobos.
As the Senior Director of Brand Marketing, your objective will be to build on the Bonobos brand positioning, driving brand awareness and making the brand ever more relevant and compelling. Reporting to the CMO, you will be responsible for brand strategy, positioning and messaging of the brand and our products, brand campaigns, branded content and entertainment, causal marketing, and partnerships. Additionally, you will be responsible for coaching and developing a team of brand marketers.
What you'll do…
• Own and champion the brand strategy, evolving it as we grow to ensure that we stay relevant and compelling for our target audience
• Develop and maintain our brand positioning and messaging, both for the overall Bonobos brand, but also for the hero categories and products that we sell
• Work with our external and internal creative teams to create multi-media brand equity campaigns
• Find new and innovative ways to drive brand awareness, through integration in 3rd party content, developing guerilla marketing campaigns or through partnerships
• Develop a causal marketing platform for Bonobos that further builds on the overall brand equity
• Work with the internal performance marketing and media team to ensure the brand story is told across all channels
• Implement partnership campaigns focused on increasing brand awareness and strengthening brand equity
• Implement campaigns to support social causes, identifying non-for-profit organizations to associate ourselves with and managing the entire campaign process
• Measure and monitor brand awareness and perception, adjusting tactics as needed to drive key messages
• Provide team members with ongoing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities

• Have 10+ years of experience in a brand marketing role, ideally with a consumer brand
• Have experience bringing a brand positioning to life in traditional and non-traditional media
• Are passionate about building brands in unconventional ways and you are always looking ways to cut through the noise
• Have strong brand and creative instincts and are comfortable partnering with creative teams
• Are a seasoned leader, while also being a team player. You have solid experience in hiring and leading a team to deliver upon high quality standards, though you expect to roll up your sleeves and be involved in the process as well
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit and you are san exceptional problem solver. You’re thoughtful, but with a bias towards action; you won’t suffer from ‘analysis paralysis’
