Overview
The Social Media Coordinator works collaboratively with the Social Media Managers, Brand Marketing Manager, Director of Creative Marketing & Content, as well as the content and photography teams to grow brand culture and awareness through social media. This role focuses on maintaining multiple social channels while building a true community within our social media platforms, marketing to important brand messages, engaging with customers, and influencers to help convey the UO lifestyle and brand identity.
Responsibilities
PLANNING & EXECUTION
• Plan, create, and schedule daily messages for social platforms (Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook), ensuring that all messaging aligns with monthly and weekly marketing themes.
• Maintain the brand voice through writing and ensure all imagery is brand-appropriate and compelling.
• Source inspiring imagery for UO’s Pinterest boards with a focus brand imagery that can link back to product.
• Manage product tagging and populating of the UO Community gallery daily.
ANALYSIS
• Use Curalate and SocialStudio to gather analytical data and report to team on content performance and other key business results.
• Track daily posts and performance for Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook. Share with the Social Media Manager to include in weekly social recap emails.
INFLUENCER GIFTING
• Assist in managing key seasonal brand campaigns and product gifting in relation to social media.
• Track influencer social pages to track any posts featuring UO product.
• Identify brand advocates, bloggers, Instagrammers and other creatives to grow the Urban Outfitters digital community.
COLLABORATION
• Partner with Editorial, Content and Social teams to plan weekly brand storytelling based on the monthly Creative and Marketing Brief.
• Collaborate with teams to contribute to weekly and monthly ‘Best Of’ recaps and provide updates and guidelines to Local Social accounts.
• Work with Affiliates and Paid Search teams to maintain a cohesive social media strategy across multiple teams.
Qualifications
• 2+ years marketing, social media, and/or merchandising experience
• Strong writing skills
• Culturally relevant, with a highly developed interest in fashion, art, music, and photography as it relates to the Urban Outfitters customer
• Organized and able to work on a variety of projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build relationships and work with a variety of coworkers across multiple teams
• Passionate about culture, branding, and the space in which they intersect
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Photography, Visual Arts or a related field.
