Purpose:
The Collateral Graphic Designer’s primary role is to create and assemble printed and digital sales collateral. Assignments include, but not limited to, creating: printed/digital sales tool materials, sales rep support materials, advertising/marketing materials, digital imagery photo editing, photo-shoot assistance and other preparatory duties relative to sales/departmental needs.
This position works out of the adidas INDY‘s facility and reports to the Collateral Supervisor. This role must be adaptive to expanding product offerings and must also possess the ability to create working solutions and proposals to accommodate additional workload. This role requires strong conceptual layout and catalog design skills, design flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consults with the Collateral Supervisor and/or Collateral Manager regarding publication needs, audience goals, project deadlines, budgetary limitations and image concept to be conveyed
• Designs and develops art and copy layouts for sales consisting of printed and electronic media while adhering to multiple branding strategies and multi-league identity systems
• Prepare illustrative, photographic, and graphic concepts of materials according to instructions provided or by taking initiative
• Use desktop computer and accompanying Macintosh applications to provide camera-ready art and/or digitally formatted graphics for specific assignments
• Produce and format graphic storyboards and/or layout concepts for presentations purposes with attention to design principles

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
• Must possess the ability to gather business requirements and relay information to production support-lines.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational and presentation skills.
• MUST be proficient in a Macintosh environment.
• Candidate MUST have an in-depth understanding of Adobe creative design suite applications and have experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and fluent with Microsoft Office preferably in a print production environment.
• Must possess strong sketching, typographic and composition skills.
• Able to respond quickly to multiple projects with strong time management skills.
• Able to conceptualize and direct projects from concept to completion in a variety of mediums and formats; identity, print, marketing, packaging, digital, web, etc…
• Working knowledge of modern office methods and practices. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, write business correspondence, and able to communicate effectively via e-mail and phone systems.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, specialized technology, graphic arts and/or visual communications or 5 years minimal experience in a creative and/or printing environment.
