Sr Planner, True&Co. – The Underwear Group
The Sr Planner for True&Co. will be responsible for projecting revenue, gross margin, and inventory goals as well as analyzing sales, inventory flow, and merchandise strategies. He or she will coordinate across departments to drive strategic business decisions that help achieve the company’s financial goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
1. Forecast demand, sales and gross margin that support financial objectives.
• Bottoms up pre-season forecasting at item (SKU) level to align with marketing plan, merchandise strategies and the company’s financial goals.
• In-season monthly actualization and reforecasting based on historical sales and business updates.
• Coordinate with marketing to align forecasts with the marketing plan.
2. Forecast and manage inventory plan at SKU level to support in-stock and inventory turn objectives.
• Collaborate with merchandisers to design inventory strategies that balance the composition of new, core and carry-over merchandise to support financial and margin goals.
• Pre-season planning to align with revenue, margin and receipt goals.
• In-season reforecasting to identify inventory risks and determine replenishment needs.
3. Monitor and analyze sales and margin results at franchise, style and color levels against forecasts and make strategic decisions to drive the business on a weekly, monthly and quarter basis.
• Coordinate with marketing to analyze marketing’s impact on sales and margins.
• Identify areas of risks and opportunity. Provide strategic decisions to drive business.
• Recommend promotional pricing that maximizes sales and margins while balancing inventory.
• Determine markdown and end-of-life disposition strategies for discontinued products.
4. Perform rigorous ongoing and ad-hoc analysis based on historical performance and product attributes
• Perform new style launch recap and analysis.
• Leverage historical data to identify key learnings around product, pricing, impact by marketing, and inventory, and apply learnings to future planning.
5. Partner with operations on supply chain communication.
• Provide monthly updated projections for inventory receipts.
• Assess and reflect product development issues in financial and receipt forecasts.
• Resolve escalated backorder, preorder, quality, vendor or inventory issues as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in retail merchandise planning, preferably in
direct-to-consumer e-commerce; Minimum four years of experience with interpreting
business data to drive business decisions.
Education:Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.
Skills:
• Data driven individual with a entrepreneurial mindset and high attention to details
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
