Responsibilities:
• Fully manage and initiate strategic and creative planning of public relations (PR) campaigns and projects (integrated with Marketing, Digital and Sales) in collaboration with Director
• Develop and elevate Avon’s storytelling across social and digital initiatives through the creation of branded content for blog and social media platforms that is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for each content channel. Strong writing skills, experience using AP style and a master of grammar are essential
• Work with outside PR Agencies on traditional editor and blogger outreach with a focus on beauty press, channel management, events and tracking. Cultivate and develop productive relationships with traditional and social media contacts influencers on behalf of the brand
• Propose new ideas, help to drive content and social concepts, and offer creative ideas that satisfy business needs while representing the brand voice and stay current in content and social media technology, trends and opportunities
• Work in partnership with cross functional teams to manage relationships from a Public Relations standpoint with brand alliances such as celebrity partners, experts and influencers on behalf of the brand.
Requirements:
• A minimum of five years PR experience (including social media) in a beauty or direct selling company, or at an agency
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Strong knowledge of the beauty industry, social media, extensive knowledge about our products and the beauty, fashion and consumer press, both traditional and on-line. Broad knowledge of competitors including direct sellers
• Professional experience executing integrated PR campaigns across social media platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
• Prior success influencing, leading and interacting with business leaders at varying levels.
• Innate ability to take initiative, multi-task and creatively solve problems
• An energetic upbeat team player who exercises diplomacy and creativity in their work, and within their teams
• A track record of leading content development
