We are currently seeking a full-time Regional Vice President to support our East Coast locations. This position will be based at our corporate headquarters in New York City.
The primary responsibilities of the RVP will include facilitating the achievement of all financial metrics/plans and ensuring a strong partnership between the stores and the key business areas (Merchandising, Finance, Public Relations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention and IT).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Profitability: Attain sales and profitability goals for the region through effective and strategic planning regarding sales achievement, expense control and management, inventory control and merchandise planning and assortment.
Measurement and Responsibilities:
• Lead Store Managers to achieve company financial goals.
• Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to maximize opportunity and improve overall performance.
• Partner with corporate Store Operations to ensure all expenses are allocated efficiently and within budget.
• Oversee all profit and loss statements. Review profit and loss statements with the Store Managers for expense savings and opportunities for cost improvements.
Clienteling:
Partnering with store teams to ensure that stores are training and implementing all corporate training guidelines with respect to gathering of information and outreach of clients.
Measurement and Responsibilities:
• Proactively work with the Store Managers to ensure that all Sales Associates are using the company’s internal clienteling technology and processes
• Coach Store Managers on innovative ways of achieving new account acquisition goals.
• Partner with the Store Operations team to ensure all trainings and training materials are up to date and available for stores to utilize.
• Partner with PR and stores to ensure that opportunities to grow client base and sales are pursued within each market.
Operations:
Maintain standards for the region in all aspects of operations including: Human Resources, Merchandising, PR and Loss Prevention to ensure that the Region/Stores are meeting company standards and operating under proper protocols.
Measurement and Responsibilities:
• Partner with Store Management and HR to ensure that the human resource functions (employee relations, recruitment, selection and training) are effectively administered.
• Partnering with the corporate HR department and stores to ensure recruitment of talent is top of mind and a continuous exercise within Stores.
• Partner with Merchandising department and stores to facilitate sales and achievement of sales plans.
• Partner with stores and LP to ensure that all loss prevention functions and strategies are effectively performed so that assets are protected and physical inventory shortage is minimized. Work with Store Managers to meet company shortage goal.
Leadership:
Serve as a leader and motivator of East Coast stores through effective communication, morale building, and management development.
Measurement and Responsibilities:
• Implement business plans to achieve desired results.
• Train, coach, and counsel Store Managers on a consistent basis.
• Communicate and train new policies and procedures in a timely manner.
• Observe each Manager’s strengths, find development opportunities and utilize such opportunities in coaching and developing.
• Provide all necessary performance feedback in a timely manner, including performance evaluations.
• Establish specific performance and development goals for all Store Managers. Follow up on progress towards goal attainment.
• Able to make difficult decisions. Manage conflict and concerns effectively and proactively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must possess:
• 5+ years of multi-store management experience in a luxury retailer or specialty store environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written, oral, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate strategies, goals, guidelines, and feedback.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to coach, motivate, and inspire.
