Senior Field Marketing Manager, North America - Tommy Hilfiger
The Senior Field Marketing Manager, North America will develop and lead our Regional Marketing Team to create and deliver innovative regional/field marketing initiatives. This individual will partner with developers, mall marketing teams, tourism partners and local communities to create awareness and maximize store visibility, traffic and sales conversion. The position will manage the Regional Marketing efforts for the retail stores in U.S. & Canada.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, coach and support the Regional Marketing Managers by being their contact with the home office
• Strategize and develop a clear roadmap and calendar of Regional Marketing campaigns, and work cross-functionally to execute these efforts
• Develop and execute corporate programs by analyzing past performance and identifying future opportunities to reach key audiences (corporate partners, hometown heroes, tourists, colleges, etc.)
• Train, educate and coach store managers & marketing leads to identify local marketing opportunities and execute corporate initiatives in their market
• Focus on the local customer by listening to store feedback, insights and learnings to ensure marketing programs exceed customer expectations
• Oversee new store opening efforts, including market entry marketing support, local partnerships and prospecting efforts
• Collaborate with the Regional Vice Presidents of Stores to align on new programs and strategies
• Manage the creative development process for field marketing projects and seasonal updates by working with our internal creative services team and outside vendors
• Review all proposals and creative briefs that are submitted by the Regional Marketing Managers and provide feedback and guidance
• Prepare presentations on market/store information and program recaps for executive jet trips
• Represent the Regional Marketing team at tourism conferences and build partnerships with travel/tourism companies to drive tourist traffic
• Develop a clear format for market research to keep team informed about the local markets. Provide monthly updates on state of the market, tourism headlines, convention numbers and other key information that will be beneficial to driving the business.
• Monitor sales, measure ROI, and identify best practices for local programs. Present data in a condensed recap to share with Regional teams
• Partner with Regional Marketing Managers and the Analytics Team to develop store-specific reports
• Collaborate with all marketing channel owners to cross-promote and amplify Regional Marketing initiatives
• Enhance and enforce the Store Marketing Request (Scorecard) process and overall field communications in partnership with the Associate Manager of Store Marketing Integration
• Manage/negotiate costs of projects as necessary.
• Manage Regional Marketing budget for US & Canada and New Store Openings
• Responsible for tracking and recommending best-practice approaches and maximizing ROI within available budget
Qualifications:
• College degree; Business or Marketing, preferred
• 8+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in retail
• 2+ years in a leadership position
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Successful experience managing, growing and leading a high performing field marketing team
• Must have a collaborative management style
• Must have a key understanding of the relationship, balance, and impact between marketing and the field organization
• Strong project management and planning skills, with ability to manage, prioritize, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Must be organized, highly detail-oriented and accurate
• Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze results of programs, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
• Strong Influencing skills with the proven ability to persuade others towards an idea or goal
• Strong communication skills (both verbally and written)
• Strong listening skills (listen first, then respond)
• Professional demeanor and proactive approach
• Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork
• Extremely proactive with a strong bias for action. Naturally inquisitive; desire to continuously improve current business practices/processes
• Experience with partnerships (local and national)
• Retail experience preferred
• The ideal candidate will be a customer-centric marketer who understands how to form valuable partnerships and leverage domestic and tourist-focused opportunities to drive retail traffic and sales
