Kodiak - Marketing Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing with the execution of marketing strategies for the Kodiak Group of brands (which includes Kodiak, Terra, and Dickies Footwear). They will have a full understanding of the marketplace positioning, consumer targe and product lines for each brand. Candidates must have knowledge of key processes and understanding of resources needed to create marketing materials that will support the brands in both trade and consumer facing applications. Experience with social media is a plus as are strong interpersonal and organizational skills that allow for effective coordination and communication across functions and regions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own the seasonal sample collection providing support to the lifestyle photo shoot and regular sample request needs. Interface with product and operations to manage the ordering, inbound delivery and storage of all samples.% of Time Involved: 10%; Relative Importance: Very High - 5
2.Manage all product feature/benefits for footwear, apparel/accessories; assist with the creation of key selling tools that leverage this information.

3. Work with content and marketing specialist to coordinate development, production, and delivery of seasonal content. % of Time Involved: 15%; Relative Importance: Very High - 5
4. Lead development of seasonal tool kits to enable storytelling globally at both wholesale, retail and on-line channels.% of Time Involved: 15%; Relative Importance: Very High - 5
5. Lead development of seasonal tool kits to support a) brand and product training for retail sales associates; b) point of sale story-telling within wholesale brick and mortar and ecomm environments; and c) seasonal press releases and media kits for each brand.

6. Leverage consumer insights and in-market tracking data to develop seasonal collection and product based stories. Own monthly business analysis and competitive creative brand reviews. 7. Assist with the management of budgets; keep expense/forecast tracking sheet up to date monthly; work with finance to reconcile discrepancies.% of Time Involved: 10%; Relative Importance: Medium - 3
Job Requirements:
Years of Related Professional Experience:
2 years of applicable marketing experience desired.
Educational/Position Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Marketing or related field
Skills
• Ability to understand the importance of consumer insights and leverage them to make strategic decisions for the brand.
• Develop key cross functional relationships (product, marketing, agency teams) to contribute to the growth of break through brand equity building ideas.
• Establish relationships with the regional teams, to help gain a full understanding of local market needs, any issues the regional teams are facing, and global tool effectiveness.
• Be the “right hand of” the Brand Managers through excellent organization, communication and coordination.
• Ability to work independently on the details without losing site of the overall bigger picture.
