The Manager, Brand Protection is responsible for identifying and investigating criminal activity relating to intellectual property and trademark violations for our brand in North and South America. The primary focus will be The US, Canada, and South America. To include all current markets, as well as those cities most immediately designated for future expansion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Perform market surveys to identify others infringing our Intellectual Property Rights.
• Preparation of case reports covering investigative details and findings as well as identifying control weaknesses with recommended solutions.
• Coordinate efforts with UA Teammates to determine authenticity of infringing products.
• Maintain communications with Brand Protection Team regarding ongoing case work.
• Coordinate investigative efforts with Private Investigative Groups, Local Law Enforcement, Customs Agencies, and Corporate Attorney’s.
• Conduct Brand training to local authorities charged with counterfeit identification and control.
• Administration and Management of Brand Protection programs, as necessary.
• Conduct audits and Brand Protection training within our approved manufacturing facilities in the region.
• Provide testimony and swear to legal documents on behalf of Under Armour.
• Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by Under Armour Brand Protection leadership.
Qualifications
• Basic experience in interviewing. Attention to detail a must.
• Be able to work independently, establishing work plans and accomplishing team goals without direct day-to-day oversight.
• Minimum of 50% travel required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multi-lingual with the ability to read / write / speak English fluently.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to be on your feet and walk long distances regularly.
Education and/or Experience
• 4-year degree preferred.
• 5+ years investigative experience (investigative and undercover work preferable).
• Knowledgeable in Intellectual Property Rights.
Computer Skills
Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes, along with experience in digital photography.
