The North Face: Customer Lifecycle Management MBA Summer Intern
POSITION SUMMARY
The North Face is looking for a summer intern to assist the Customer Lifecycle Management and Consumer Insights teams with defining target customer personas, developing seasonal marketing strategy for our lifestyle products and developing and testing customer experience and engagement tactics for our newly launched Basecamp camping events.
The summer project will focus on increasing understanding of The North Face customer and identifying unique opportunities to increase engagement with those customers. Key partners in addition to CRM and Consumer Insights will be Retail Marketing, Customer Loyalty team (VIPeak Rewards), and Digital Marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducting market segmentation analyses and developing customer personas for targeting.
• Assisting Consumer Insights with conducting and analyzing results of customer focus groups and surveys.
• Partnering with Consumer Insights, Brand, and Digital Marketing teams to develop a Back to Campus marketing strategy for the Lifestyle product category.
• Creating and testing customer experience and engagement strategy and tactics for Basecamp events.
• Developing and piloting marketing strategy and tactics to convert and retain Basecamp participants.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration, Information, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, customer experience or customer insights functions.
• Must have experience with digital communication strategy.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel for reporting.
• Prefer experience with email marketing and loyalty programs.
• Prefer experience with CRM data in either analytics or report development.
• Prefer experience with social media data acquisition and analysis.
• Must have a passion for, and understanding of key The North Face experiences and its unique culture.
• Great communicator and team player.
• Creativity and an ability to synthesize large amounts of data and translate insights into actionable ideas.
• The internship is based in Alameda, CA. The project duration will be 10-12 weeks May – August 2018.
