Facilities Coordinator, Retail: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

As the Retail Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance and repair requests for multiple VF Outdoor & Action Sports retail stores and ensuring all preventative maintenance and work orders are performed in a productive manner. You will use your broad range of technical knowledge of all interior and exterior elements of the retail store chain to support a wide range of work orders including, but not limited to: Building structure, walls and roofing, HVAC systems, electrical power systems, lighting systems, plumbing systems, fire protection and safety systems, utility systems, trash/waste management, long term facility improvements, etc. Any individual that wishes to join our leading global footwear, apparel and accessory brand must share our vision in influencing youth culture and empowering artistic expression.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Process the day-to-day service work orders for repair trades (i.e. janitorial, plumbing, doors, locks, fire/life safety) along with other assigned trades, for all coalition retail stores in the U.S, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico ensuring all preventative maintenance and work order requests are scheduled and performed in an effective/efficient manner. Utilize the ServiceChannel property/asset management system to maximize customer (Stores) satisfaction, internal reporting, and asset management. Utilize Service Channel work order administration to follow up on the day-to-day work orders for your specified trades. React to the Service Automation reports to increase our overall Customer and Store service satisfaction, problem resolutions, cost reductions, cost avoidance, process improvements. Assist with various Roll Out projects as assigned. Assist with Mini-refreshes, small works projects, painting, signage, fixture, etc. as assigned. Coordinate scheduling and monitor day-to-day performance and issue resolution. Ability to work flexible hours as required, occasionally taking emergency calls after hours and weekends in support of the Direct To Consumer process.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• AA Degree plus minimum 3-5+ years experience in Retail Facilities trade work.
• Project management and/or trades experience a strong plus.
• Experience using ServiceChannel is required.
Positional Skills:
• Basic knowledge of various elements of the retail store chain including, but not limited to: minor electrical power systems, lighting systems, plumbing systems, fire protection and safety systems, utility systems, trash/waste management, general maintenance, locks, doors, janitorial, etc.
• Ability to communicate the needs to our Service Providers for retail facilities maintenance and repair. May be called to prepare RFP’s for individual service requests as well as preventive maintenance contracts.
• Ability to establish service levels for stores, equipment technicians, contractors and vendors. Coordinate scheduling and monitor day-to-day performance and issue resolution.
• Ability to manage vendors for facilities repair and maintenance. Prepare RFP’s for preventive maintenance contracts and troubleshoot specific technical issues as necessary to resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently in a high stress, multiple task environment.
• Motivated, customer service oriented
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written, computer & communication skills, Excel, Word, and related software applications.
• Bilingual English / Spanish (strongly preferred)
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Willingness to work occasional irregular hours, by monitoring the ServiceChannel Web Based Maintenance Management System and responding to after hours and weekend emergency service requests
• May be required to travel 5% of the time, within the U.S
• Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight up to 50lbs, depending on need
