Job Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
The Online Producer is responsible for our digital presentation to the consumer. In conjunction with the Online Producer strategically aligns eCommerce and the Omni message to engage consumers with the brand and ultimately drive sales across all channels. This engagement is accomplished though implementation of leading edge creative, innovative merchandising and digital marketing strategies that represent the brands in a compelling, measurable and effective manner. The Producer also builds impactful business relationships using a global and inspiring approach and is sought out by business partners as a source of valued digital direction.
BRAND RELATIONSHIP & INTERPERSONAL OWNERSHIP:
• Responsible for clear organizational focus on meeting and exceeding the expectations of the brands and DTC while fostering deeper relationships with the consumer.
• Is the Digital Brand Ambassador and works to align the Omni strategy with capabilities, digital medium usability, development and the end presentation to the consumer.
• Is responsible for marshaling the global resources of Marketing, Merchandising, the Brands, Paid Search, Email Campaigns, Online Inventory, and Development for the digital mediums that impact usability, design and site functionality.
• Influences and impacts these relationships to accomplish a clear and consistent flow of information across all channels.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
• Is responsible for the Product Management of the website, from conception to implementation. Meets with stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure a proper portfolio of projects are scoped and planned to achieve the goals of the brands and eCommerce.
• Groom product backlogs and intake customer demand into the backlog
• Clearly measures, manages and reports to executive management on the status of all projects and provides accurate and detailed estimates for new work to requestors.
• Responsible for delivering projects within established budgets and scope.
• Takes initiative to drive innovation into all processes.
• Ensures and champions a global focus.
CREATIVE MANAGEMENT:
• Oversight of the digital process from initial brand/creative direction to deployment on our digital platforms to meet or exceed all expected deadlines and expectations for innovation, creativity and usability. Digital mediums include, but are not limited to: Websites, mobile applications, & personal tablets.
• Performs creative and/or digital support for brand initiatives and activities including email blasts, print material, and other promotional needs.
• Responsible for executing the Go To Market process with regard to ecommerce strategy in collaboration with the DTC and Brand teams with the management and guidance of the online producer
• Oversight of the digital merchandising with the management and guidance of the online producer from strategic direction to deployment to meet or exceed all the expected site metrics and the brand strategy. This includes product merchandising and site/creative merchandising.
• Responsible for managing a process that develops innovative thinking and the generation of new ideas related to functionality and usability.
• The Producer maintains advanced knowledge of online content management systems, image libraries, brand objectives, development needs and other creative functions to ensure best-in-class usability and digital medium presentations. The producer must also stay current with the latest e-commerce trends and technology to maintain competitiveness in the digital world and should provide innovative suggestions and solutions to leadership.
SITE PERFORMANCE:
• Is responsible for the overall performance of the site including: sales, spend, and merchandising usability.
• o Sales goals are based upon the annual eCommerce budget for the brand’s performance.
◦ Spend is defined as managing the costs of all assets required for site usability and presentation that directly impact eCommerce such as internal labor, external agencies, technology, etc.
◦ Usability is quantified through customer interaction data and marketing analytics.
◦ Merchandising is quantified through customer interaction data and site analytics
EMPLOYEE & AGENCY MANAGEMENT:
• Works with the brand creative teams and manages the delivery of creative assets to the web development team
• Manages the use of outside creative and development agencies to augment internal resource requirements
Education & Experience
Education/Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
• 4-6 years experience in related field
• Experience with project management/resource allocation, client relations, managing cross functional teams required.
• Online experience and knowledge of creative web design, site functionality, and /or marketing and experience in a branded product environment required.
Skills/Knowledge/Behavior:
• Intermediate working knowledge of project management systems.
• Ability to allocate resources, measure productivity, and identify issues in advance
• Leadership/management skills to manage and build the creative team.
• Estimating, budgeting, and reporting abilities.
• Customer Focused.
• Strong interpersonal skills to be interpersonally and politically savvy.
• Ability to travel on a regular basis to maintain brand relationships.
• Industry knowledge of creative design practices.
• Ability to champion causes an engage others in the causes’ success.
