Director, Control and Compliance, OneSource
Description
The position leads the execution and continuous improvement of OneSource’s Control & Compliance framework. S/he plays a key role in providing governance, risk management and controls expertise and advice to the business & Delivery teams, to ensure risks to achieving the strategic initiative and business objectives are addressed and that control and compliance requirements are met.
• Define, Implement and Govern
◦ Provide leadership and independent oversight in various projects and strategic initiatives by supplying subject matter expertise on risk management, compliance and internal control standards for business owners
◦ Promote enterprise risk management throughout the OneSource organization by independently identifying and assessing risks and controls that may impact the ability of the delivery team to meet business objectives
◦ Review corporate governance documents (e.g. policies, charters, procedures, etc.) for best practices, risk management and internal controls aspects
◦ Manage the development and implementation of all aspects of compliance, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report operational compliance with periodic review continuous improvement
◦ Monitoring compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by performing regular and comprehensive compliance testing and reporting the results on a regular basis to OneSource leadership and Global Financial Compliance office and ICD.
◦ Understand, interpret, analyze, and act upon the results of monitoring, including operational and compliance based metrics, as part of the Service Management score carding process
◦ Govern OneSource business operations with the SOX 302 and 404 requirements partnering with Global Financial Compliance and ICD including maintain OneSource enterprise wide audit and control calendar (internal testing / external testing) and complete the regulatory compliance management attestation process on a timely basis
◦ Evaluate identified control deficiencies and govern and track remediation to completion; identify risks and mitigation strategies
◦ Monitor emerging best practices in internal controls, regulatory compliance and validation programs and adopt continuous improvement principles to support success of the compliance programs
◦ As Key POC for all internal and external audit activities, is responsible for the tracking and monitoring of all key controls to ensure clear accountability within OneSource
◦ Assist operations in ensuring SOX narratives and testing criteria remains relevant as operation improve and iterate
• Business Training and Support
◦ Research, identify, and interpret and subsequently communicate complex regulatory requirements in a succinct and organized manner within the OneSource organization.
◦ Overseeing communications and training on compliance matters for new and current personnel insuring integrity within the control environment and audit ready approach
◦ Lead multiple cross functional and cross geographic projects on establishing and implementing compliance polices within OneSource.
◦ Educate business partners on appropriate risk identification and management practices
◦ Coach and support migration team in the appropriate due diligence to be conducted when assessing compliance requirements
◦ Oversight and Management of internal or external resources supporting this work
◦ Working closely with the OneSource VMO, responsible for tracking and monitoring all vendor compliance requirements (BCP, Industry Certifications, etc.) – (VMO=Performance, ICD=Compliance)
Qualifications
• University degree, Business Management, Finance or Accounting
• 8+ years minimum experience
• Relevant experience in the following areas is required: regulatory compliance, internal controls, operational risk, operational control, internal/external audit,
• Management reporting including the ability to work/analyze/build efficient analyses and reports creating flexibility and agility
• Ability to operate multi-nationally with overseas business partners
• Demonstrate analytical prowess, thought leadership and influencing capability to drive changes in compliance practices within and outside the team.
• Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships externally and internally with people from all levels to help foster a positive compliance culture and creating a collaborative environment
• Excellent organization, writing and listening skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills; able to gather information, analyze critically and cut through complexity to arrive at workable solutions
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions, not only from a compliance perspective but also from a business perspective.
• Independent self-starter with excellent analytical capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills a must
• Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and multitask
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, skills a must
