POSITION OBJECTIVE
Do you love leading and designing training and development content? Are you energized by facilitating training to all levels to successfully develop our top talent? Do you enjoy staying current on the latest trends and enhancements in learning? Creates relevant training events and activities, as well as provides coaching and development to all levels of talent.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
manages all aspects of projects ensuring successful completion
Creates and leads basic to advanced learning design projects, including developing/managing project plans, leading project progress communication and overseeing budget
Ensures project remains aligned with objectives and scope
Reviews and shares evaluation analysis of outcomes, recommend changes/adjustments to content as needed
designs and develops meaningful development content
Holds strong business acumen in strategy, industry trends and best practices, in retail as well as Kohl's and training/development
Collaborate with SMEs as needed to design and develop content
Uses and articulates new concepts or perspectives in adult learning to push content and outcomes to the next level
possess strong training and facilitation abilities that resonate across varied audiences
Trains and/or facilitates basic to advanced content as needed
Gauges audience; can modify pace, delivery, questions and content as needed to ensure best outcome of learning deliverables
Translates complex ideas or subjects into simple models, analogies or pictures using past experience, tools and resources to guide understanding
advises through acumen, relationship building and influence
Guides other members of the Talent Development team regarding project management, design, development and facilitation
Advises Associates and leaders on training/development available to meet their specific needs by using proper questioning techniques and staying current on relevant content
Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Proven leadership experience including the ability to integrate with and guide director level and above
Proven facilitation skills beyond training delivery
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Experience in a variety of learning methods including classroom, self guided, elearning, mobile
Preferred
Proficient in InDesign, PowerPoint as well as Project Management systems and elearning design software
Special requirements
Overnight Travel
