Description
The Manager of Acquisition Marketing manages the Search (Paid Brand Search and Natural SEO), Display and Affiliate programs on behalf of the North America E-Commerce Team. The position is a key collaboration partner for the North America Digital Advertising Team who manages Non-Brand Paid Search as well as Digital Awareness Marketing. The position needs to have an in-depth understanding of SEO, SEM and how to drive eCommerce sales through effective and cost efficient marketing programs. The position requires a combination of analytical, strategic and creative thinking in order to manage revenue goals while staying ahead of industry and channel trends. The Manager will work directly with the Director of E-Commerce Marketing to oversee online marketing efforts and increase conversion through Branded ROI-focused, Non-Branded Awareness-focused programs. In addition, the Manager will provide support in product focus and marketing/merchandizing strategies that pertain to major launches; develop and execute 360 Online Marketing programs (site, email, search, etc) while closely collaborating with Creative, Consumer Engagement Marketing, Advertising, Social Media and Global Communication teams.
Reports to the Director of E-Commerce Marketing, North America. Works closely with Creative, Production, Customer Service, Corporate Partners and Vendor Partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acquisition Marketing: Paid Search, Display, Paid Social
•Managing specific Search, Display, Paid Social budget line of A&P: work with vendors to execute paid search (Brand and Non-Brand) and display campaigns, coordinating programming with internal team.
oEnsure highest volume of sales return.
oOptimize programs and creative.
•Create test plan, incorporating response analysis to optimize campaigns.
•Monitor, track and report on campaign performance on an ongoing basis while at the same time focusing on the competitive trends adjusting spend as necessary.
•Work with internal functions (Creative, Copy, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to coordinate and develop all copy and creative assets necessary to support all channel programs.
•Manage development of all creative, clarifying objectives, maintaining creative look and feel, as well as project timeline.
•Manage necessary data for online reporting and database maintenance.
Natural Search
•Ongoing effort to ensure that US and CA sites are optimized to current trends. Collaborate with NOAM Marketing to align SEO efforts with Market Priorities.
•Work with vendor to optimize traffic and sales through the natural search channel.
•Analyze performance (e.g., changes in search ranks) on an ongoing basis, and develop recommendations for optimal results while maintaining budget.
•Work with internal teams (e.g., Creative, Copy, Engineers, Production) to execute on recommendations.
Affiliate Marketing
•Managing specific Affiliate line of A&P: oversee Affiliate Vendor to optimize programs with specific Affiliate Partner(s), establish, measure and report on program performance.
•Work with internal functions (Creative, Copy, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to coordinate and develop all copy and creative assets necessary to support all channel programs.
•Collaborate with Manager of Promotions to build Affiliate-exclusive offers.
•Evaluate programming opportunities with existing and prospective Affiliate Partners
Online Analytics & Reporting for MACCosmetics.com
•Gather data for analysis of sales and program performance regularly for online marketing and retail campaigns and make recommendations for how to improve performance.
•Support Director of E-Commerce in measurement of optimal ROI for marketing programs to determine best allocation for budgets.
•Support Director of E-Commerce with analysis of key business metrics, marketing programs, custom sampling programs, customer retention, and cost of customer acquisition programs.
•Report and analyze on marketing and promotional programs.
Qualifications
•5+ years’ experience.
•2 to 4 years related web marketing/ecommerce business experience. College degree required.
•Direct to consumer or digital agency experience preferred.
•Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Strong organizational skills; Pro-active problem solving abilities.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Must be a brand advocate and team player.
•Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e. web-based reports, databases and various multimedia technologies).
•Thorough understanding of website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools.
