Description
This position is responsible for helping to drive Social/Digital/Innovation Insights & Analytics initiatives to support Category Strategy and Innovation One (R&D and Packaging).
Track, synthesize and streamline consumer and cultural trends across internal and external workstreams. Create and leverage various trend sources, such as social listening, search, beauty industry sources, and syndicated sources (mintel, trendhunter), etc. across key global markets. Develop and manage ongoing trend reporting to be delivered to the various senior leader stakeholders. Partner with multiple internal stakeholders, such as Brand and Regional Insights, Analytics, Consumer Engagement, Brand Product Development and Marketing, R&D, E-commerce, and IT in order to leverage insight opportunities to drive category growth. The position requires high visibility and trust throughout the organization at all levels.
The Manager will be expected to turn business strategies into analytic and insight opportunities to help optimize corporate/category strategies, and innovation programs. The Manager will be asked to stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, integrating new analytical tools and frameworks.

Requirements/Qualifications
Key Accountabilities
1. Participate in data integration, planning and team
2. Identify and track key evolving and emerging trends (short and longer term) through social listening and other data sources
3. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
4. Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data from multiple sources
5. Prioritize/size trends across and within categories
6. Synthesize and integrate various data and insight sources to draw conclusions and recommendations.
7. Deep social listening to uncover consumer unmet needs, desires, etc.
8. Track and analyze and portfolio performance on digital and socal. For example, calculate engagement rates, follower #s across platforms, track hashtag usage, understand paid social strategy and click through to sales from digital ads.
9. Clearly communicate data insights, results and opportunities to less data-minded team members
10. Manage Bank of Trends/Trend Portal
Qualifications
Job Requirements
• Bachelors (B.S.) from a four-year college or equivalent
• 6-8 years of experience with web and consumer insights & analytics
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics and other third party tools for benchmarking in engagement data, social listening about consumer conversations, influencer identification and measurement
• Strong quantitative analysis skills and advanced Excel skills
• Qualitative experience analyzing and interpreting deep social listening for consumer unmet needs, pain points, desired benefits, etc.
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau
• Experience with predictive modeling, SQL or R a plus
• Experience with attribution modeling a plus
• Team-player with excellent relationship-building experience
• Ability to translate information into meaningful actionable recommendations
• Must possess a passion for data/insights and attention to detail to tell a strong consumer story, identifying business building opportunities, turning data results and insights into action plans
Preferred Key Experiences
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with beauty categories and luxury consumers a plus
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Technical expertise regarding data mining, and segmentation techniques
