External Job Description
The Manager of Retail Analytics - Pricing is a leadership position reporting to the Director of Retail Analytics/Testing. The Manager of Retail analytics provides analytical guidance, support and insight to the Merchandise and MP&A teams on pricing (ticketing) and promotional activity. Owns cross-functional analytic partnership in developing the product vertical forecast and hindsight for product promotional activity, including product basket mix, promotional timing and optimizing promotional cadence.
• Provide support and recommendations to merchant teams to assist in managing pricing indices and promotions to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Analyze product promotional events based on sales, traffic, margin and forecast performance. Publish analysis and provide recommendations to MP&A, Cross-Functional partners and Senior Management.
• Ensure proper interpretation of reporting and utilize analyses to meet changing business needs.
• Influence key cross-functional business partners by delivering ad hoc analyses and recommendations for planning and merchant teams that encompass strategic direction, optimal value creation and proper focus of resources.
• Partner w/ AP to recommended ticketing architecture across all lines of business
• Collaborate with MP&A and Merchant organization on glide path promos for exiting merchandise
• Partner with Testing team, merchants & planning on promotional & product price testing – including interpreting results and test design

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Related Field or Relevant work experience.
Experience:
• 5+ years of retail analytics, pricing analytics, planning analytics and/or marketing/promotional analytics experience.
• 1+ years managing direct report(s).
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with data mining and BI systems is required.
• Previous experience in APT or other analytic tool required.
• Experience with MicroStrategy (MSI) is a plus.
• Proficiency with presenting and influencing at all levels of the business (individual contributor to C-level).
• SQL coding experience a plus.
• Price optimization tool experience a plus.
