Director - Business Development- L'Oréal Professionnel South-East
Job Title: Business Development Director
Supervisor Title: Vice President, Sales
Location: South-East Region
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, the Business Development Director will control & build the brand’s business, by directly and indirectly influencing customer, distributor & internal stakeholders, in order to achieve set objectives, goals & KPIs. Accountable for achieving the annual revenue and growth budget goals for the South-East Region (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana).
Additional responsibilities include: coaching and development of the region’s SalonCentric Distributor Salon Sales Consultants, identifying and establishing New Partnerships, consulting with existing key customers to help grow their business, and liaising with Regional Education Managers to ensure education support is properly planned and executed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1/ Direct Relationship Management & Business Building with Top 25 Customers (30% Time)
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews / Salon Success Plans
• Direct Relationship Management and Consultative Support
• Use Summit Consultancy to help grow business
2/ Identifying, Courting & Winning New Partnerships (30% Time)
• Use Market Analysis Grid (MAG) data to identify target new partnerships
• Use multiple channels to contact new partnerships and build relationships
• Use consultative selling to establish and grow new partnerships
3/ Leading, Influencing & Coaching Saloncentric Managers & Consultants (30% Time)
• Build positive working relationships with SalonCentric Distributor Team
• Represent and present L’Oreal Professionnel at Sales Meeting and Salon Meeting and Events
• Support SalonCentric Distributor Team with Business Building ideas, tools and support to help retain and grow the region’s business
4/ Managing the Administrative Aspects of the Business (10% Time)
• Travel Bookings and Expenses
• Internal Meetings / Conference Calls
• Proposals, Contracts and Agreements
• Budgets and Tracking

Job Requirements:
• 8-10 years sales / brand management experience
Exceptional financial acumen required including experience with commercial agreements / contracts, negotiation and budgeting
Effective communication skills
Proven leadership skills including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business enabling the successful achievement of initiatives across all brand categories and sales channels
Strong execution, leadership and consensus building/decision making skills.
Ability to travel domestically periodically
