Job Summary
This position will be responsible for Public Relations, Social Media and Brand Expert/Influencer strategy including managing, developing and spearheading all efforts in trade and consumer media. This role is responsible for managing daily relationships with editors, influencers and brands experts. In addition, this role needs to liaise on a daily basis with Marketing, Education and Sales to ensure our initiatives are fully integrated and communicated to the press and other digital outlets, and across Professional Products Division and L’Oreal. This position will also have to established strong relationships with other Communications counterparts within the L'Oreal network to exchange best practices and KPIs benchmarks as well as staying up to date with new technology developments and recommending strategic partnerships for the brands.
Several years of Beauty industry is preferred and a strong background in digital/social media strategy and Media and PR planning is required. In addition, someone comfortable with a fast-paced environment, juggling regularly shifting priorities, with a results-oriented approach, will be best poised for success. This position reports to the VP Digital.
Requirements
• 7+ years’ experience in Beauty Public Relations liaising with Beauty Directors
Bachelors’ degree required
Excellent organizational skills with avid attention to detail and follow through.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication, negotiation skills.
Well-developed strategic, organizational and conceptual development skills and ability to follow through and complete multiple tasks and goals
A strong interest and understanding of the beauty/fashion/lifestyle area
Excellent personal manner, outgoing personality, comfortable dealing with many external contacts and representing the brand to the media, salon owners and partners, and other influencers in a positive light.
Judgment and Decision Making:
• Daily reactive and proactive contact with trade and consumer editors or bloggers - including sending press releases, product and follow up to ensure placement
Primary responsibility for all internal communications
Oversee press mailings, presentations for launches and showcase events
Input on strategic communications plans for launches, special events, overall
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages all relationships editors, experts, and influencers to include media pitching and all events planning and implementation
2. Negotiate and manage all contracts relationships and presence at brand events
3. Develop and manage brand relationship and presence on new media thru earned influencer programs
4. Ensures alignment with Corporate Digital and PR strategies
5. Reporting & Analytics
6. Manage and lead in-house PR team
7. Budget planning and reconciliation.
