Overview
The Jr. Photographer will work on the home stills team in the web/ecommerce photo studio to photograph Anthropologie product day-to-day.
Responsibilities
• Process and crop images, maintain file size specification guidelines all in Capture One
• Produces high quality images that are brand appropriate, ensuring they are color consistent and correctly exposed
• Work on web creative, blog, registry, social media photography
• Responsible for upkeep and care of all studio equipment, props and supplies
• Contribute to manual labor such as set break down, keeping equipment tidy, etc.
• Understand deadlines and schedules in order to help prioritize product
• Show flexibility/ adaptability when schedules/priorities/ deadlines change
• Able to handle the studio workflow and execute both on-model and still life imagery
• Meets deadlines/ image count/ quality expectations
• Understands pace and process and a displays a willingness to stay until the job is done/ there is a natural or efficient breaking point in process
• Positively collaborate with stylists
• Display an understanding of the Art Director’s vision and an ability to articulate this to others
• Display enthusiasm and readiness to take on creative product photography projects
• Research & suggest new lighting techniques and ideas, and show enthusiasm to try new set ups
• Contribute ideas and suggestions and work constructively with stylists, art directors & retouchers to implement these ideas
• Show a willingness to support peers/ new hires in understanding this vision/ the quality expectations
• Solicit feedback/ input from Photographer/ Sr. Photographer to confirm understanding/ advance knowledge
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of internship or full time experience in a photo studio setting required
• Strong attention to detail
• Deadline driven and ability to work with both large and small teams
Job Skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, required
• Capture One experience a plus
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
