Senior Manager Strategy & Concept Development - PVH Corp.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Concept Development, is responsible for creatively identifying areas of opportunity across the PVH business and developing innovative, yet practical strategies to capture those opportunities. This role works in close partnership with the EVP of Strategic Initiatives Office (SIO), the SIO team and other leaders across PVH. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter, creative problem-solver, careful listener and influential thought partner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide thought partnership to the EVP of SIO in developing new strategies to achieve longer term vision
• Build frameworks around ambiguous, complex, or forward-looking ideas to distill further into strategies and initiatives
• Independently drive and direct key strategic projects (with minimal guidance) and ensure their success – including directing projects and project participants
• Liaise with leadership across different functions and divisions in complex and matrixed organization to understand strategic priorities and influence the success of strategic projects
• Develop collateral (including presentations, communications, etc.) to effectively communicate strategic priorities, goals of strategic initiatives, as well as drive the implementation of initiatives
• Continually identifying new areas of opportunities to develop or evolve strategies within the PVH business as well as bring new ideas from competitors in the apparel industry and across all industries
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years’ experience in project management or consulting role required
• Experience in the retail or consumer goods industries, or other supply chain strategy background preferred
• University degree or college diploma in business or a related field
• PMI Certification is an asset but not required
• Demonstrated leadership managing or influencing people
• Proven ability to create, implement and measure new processes
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
SKILLS:
• Influence: ability to interact with senior management, influence decisions and lead project teams of individuals with more seniority
• Independence: ability to work independently with minimal guidance, but with an understanding of when to ask for help
• Strategic thinking: ability to creatively think of strategic solutions to problems, to continually ask questions and formulate original and practical solutions
• Communication: ability to communicate clearly and succinctly; ability to simplify complex ideas
• Empathy: ability to work closely with individuals across different business, understand their business and needs
