Associate Buyer - Stationery & Linens
Celebrating our legacy of modern fashion, creativity, individuality, and intrigue by providing every guest with an unparalleled customer experience. We are currently seeking an Associate Buyer - Stationery & Linens in our New York corporate office.
Responsibilities:
• Write all orders for areas of responsibility
• Manage all aspects of their OTB (sales, markdowns, receipts, etc.)
• Analyze sales reporting on a weekly basis, proactively reacting to optimize sales and minimize risks
• Manage markdown cadence
• Manage inventory levels between stores and divisions, via transfers, allocations, and/or consolidations
• Negotiate with vendors (discounts, RTV’s, exclusive product)
• Work closely with planning on vendor and department level plans/projections
• Work closely with stores and respond to their specific requests
• Establish positive business relationships with vendors
• Strong negotiation skills
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-3 years buying experience in a department store or specialty boutique
• Very strong retail math skills and strong understanding of financials (OTB)
• Analytical skills
• Demonstrated understanding of the women’s market within luxury retail
• Market exposure will enhance candidacy
