External Job Description
Develops and executes maurices’ internal communications program to accurately reflect the segment’s vision, business objectives and culture. Serves as primary contact for graphic design elements and marketing collateral development.
Duties:
Communications Strategy and Messaging (internal)
• Develops best practices and “voice” for the segment’s internal communications. Leads internal segment and cross-brand and enterprise communications ensuring aligned and cohesive messaging.
• Assists with critical communication events that include business/leader updates, Change for Growth agendas, leader guides, etc.
• Assists with Town Hall agenda, communications, content development, logistics and execution. Aligns with senior leadership, internal stakeholders and IT support teams to ensure a successful outcome.
• Evaluate impact in terms of awareness, understanding, acceptance and action; identify and address opportunities for improvement (communication content & vehicles, etc.).
• Works with HR Business Partners to develop and execute communication strategies for strategic HR programs and initiatives. Provides communication support for functional and cross-brand reorganizations.
• Meets weekly with the Corporate Affairs COE and creates enterprise content as needed.
• Continuously evolve/elevate support & service levels based on industry trends and best practices to ensure strategies and programs resonate with, engage and motivate targeted audiences.
• Manages the Associate Handbook ensuring all policies are current. Where needed, drafts new content/policies and partners with Legal for alignment. Manages the relationship with Marketing for creative imagery and design support.
• In partnership with Marketing, manages the segment’s Cause Marketing / Philanthropy calendar and initiatives that include developing communication strategies, messaging and governance. Participates in concept creation and owns the planning, execution and budget management for Home Office philanthropy related events & activities.
Associate Engagement
• Leads employee engagement initiatives and coordination with internal and external partners. Develops and executes communication strategies supporting these initiatives.
Graphic Design
• Primary owner of brand’s Intranet – develops and manages all content.
• Creates and updates brands standards manual
• Develops marketing collateral to support internal communications and HR programs and initiatives.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in effectively planning, developing messages, implementing and evaluating communication programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Journalism, Communications, Marketing and/or related field preferred.
• Ability to effectively work with and counsel leaders at all levels of the company.
• Excellent graphic design (efficient in all Adobe Suite products: indesign, photoshop, illustrator), writing, editing, grammatical and verbal communications skills.
• Comfort with ambiguity and change.
• Process-oriented, highly organized, fast and accurate, delivery-oriented and able to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines and budgets.
