Specific Responsibilities
LEADERSHIP INNOVATION OPPORTUNITY (LIO)
LIO is a highly selective team of innovators brought together in New York City for one year to focus on revolutionizing the fashion, retail, and lifestyle industries. LIO is made up of Disruptors, recent university graduates who will be provided creative workspace, training, and access within Global Brands Group for the purpose of generating, developing, testing, and implementing new ideas that will help drive the business forward. Disruptors will work both individually and in teams to contribute to transformative and high potential projects within Global Brands Group, across the varied fields of Product Experimentation, Consumer Relationships, Sustainability, Back End Technologies, Internal Synergies, IOT, and Evolving Retail Experiences. At the end of one year in LIO, each Disruptor will have the opportunity to be placed within another department at Global Brands Group, where they will continue to drive change and innovation into the future.
• Contribute skills and ideas to LIO team projects targeted across diverse business sectors.
• Develop independent projects relating to new ideas, practices, markets, or products within the design, lifestyle, and retail industries.
• Research and understand the changing elements within the design, lifestyle, and retail markets.
• Maintain keen awareness of emerging trends in tech, business, consumer behavior, product development, and marketing.
• Participate in LIO training programs to develop innovative and entrepreneurial skillsets.
• Act as an ambassador for innovation within the wider Global Brands Group business.
Skills and Requirements
• Undergraduate degree, preferably with honors; degree may be in any field of study. Diverse backgrounds and perspectives are encouraged.
• Demonstrated leadership potential.
• Record of previous internships or work experience, entrepreneurial experience a plus.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for design, lifestyle, and retail industries.
• Highly driven, self-motivated.
• Preference for fast paced, start-up environment.
• Curious, creative, and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.
